Burbank / Toluca Lake

I'm looking for the best restaurant in Burbank / Toluca Lake area for dinner. I've heard Bistro Provence, Third and Olive and D'Cache. Can someone tell me which one of these is rated best.

Thanks very much!

3 nights in LA

I know lots of people have suggested Animal but there's actually a special event - A Vegetable Dinner - at Animal that week that we are not interested in going to. Right now we have Bazaar (does anyone have feedback on this), Madeo, Church and State and AOC. Maybe someone can give additional lunch suggestions - we are definitely going to try Pizzeria Mozza. Anything else???? Also, if we decide to do sushi, would you recommend Nozawa or someplace else?

3 nights in LA

I am from New York City so there is no shortage of great restaurants here. i should say we are foodies and enjoy an amazing meal - doesn't have to be white tablecloth, we have a car and money is not really an object when it comes to this trip. I've heard great things about Animal. We are planning to go to the Katsuya in Hollywood.

Yes, it looks like it has tenderloins, sirloin, etc. - more like a steak house?

I haven't done research on Hiroshima yet. I've heard that oysters are in season so I'd love to try some of them in Hiroshima. Any recommendations for a great lunch place?

Anyone Been to Sushi Kanesaka Recently?

I was told Kanesaka has a 5000Y + 10000 lunch omakase. Is this true? Also, do they do a la carte or solely omakase?

Ryugin or Kanda?

He doesn't eat cooked seafood, and he is not super adventurous with raw fish (i.e., he eats white fish + tuna but no sea urchin, eel, roe, etc.). Will he have a problem? Is the chef adaptable, or is it a complete waste of money for him to eat there?

Tapas Molecular Bar?

I will be in Tokyo for 4 nights and I am debating whether to visit Tapas Molecular Bar for dinner. I'm worried that it's too kitchy + touristy, and I don't typically like to dine at hotels. Can anyone speak on this? Is it worth the $160/pp and is it unique to Tokyo and Japanese cuisine?

Kanesaka, Harutaka or Sushi ko Honten (or all 3)?

I was able to get reservations at Sushi Kanesaka (for lunch), Harutaka (for dinner) and Sushi ko Honten (for dinner) during my 4 night/3 day stay in Japan. Does anyone think eating at all of these sushi places is excessive. I don't want to completely break the bank, but I also don't want to leave regretting not going to these places. Can someone help me out with which ones of these are MUST DO's. Thanks very much in advance.
