Best By The Glass Wine Lists?

I was really impressed by the wine list at Mirabelle on a recent visit (Mesa & Spicewood Springs) - the list is not large by any means, but they have 2-3 by the glass of each major varietal, and the prices are very reasonable.

Rockin' Tomato??

As I stated mkwng, the location on Far West is closed, but there website still has it listed...so can't trust their website. Thanks to all the rest.

Rockin' Tomato??

Are there any Rockin' Tomato locations left in Austin? I know the one on Far West closed a few years back. They had a good thin whole wheat crust I loved.

Recommendations for good takeout near Anderson Ln./Burnett

Have you tried Grapevine market? They have a great deli, it is rather inexpensive and some great salads & wraps/sandwiches. I have been making it a Saturday regular visit. My favorite is the italian wrap, all the sandwiches come with a bunch of grapes. They have a great salad w/blue cheese, sun-dried tomatos & red peppers - can't remember the name. They serve from 11 - 3pm, and will do it to go - just order at the cash registers. Seems like it is sort of a "loss leader" - they are hoping you will buy wine while you are there (usually works)...but the best part is the free wine tasting while you wait for you food!

Looking for best milkshake in Austin

Hillbert's on Lamar near 35th St.

In town for Summer NAMM-Non-Touristy/Frat Divebars

Another vote for Casino el Camino for a burger or chicken sandwich...and inexpensive drinks. Club deVille on Red River & 8th Street is probably one of my favorite bars -- great patio surrounded by limestone, and a cool dark inside bar.

Has anyone been to J. Black’s Feel Good Lounge on W. 6th?

J. Blacks is a little too much like Foundation -- not in the same place, but feels like a smaller version. That said, it will be the hot spot for the next 2-3 months, as most new places are. If you want a more laid-back, comfortable bar head across the street to Molotov Lounge -- pool table and t.v.'s inside, and a cool patio upstairs. You can also bring in food or have it delivered, as they do not serve food. Their happy hour prices are good -- I believe $2 for domestic beer until 9pm.
