I think they have another location on Bathurst and Sheppard tool. they currently offer $18.95 pp for dinner (Monday to Thurs) + 15% off as a grand opening price. cant wait to try them out and report on some goodies!!! |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA i might be blind.. but i havent seen a peep about Ginza Sushi AYCE here yet. we went to the weston and langstaff location this past weekend. oh! and here are some photos from our last sushi brunch at Maison du Japon for new year's eve. i was surprised to find out they're open from 3-5pm for "early" dinner! They give you a 10% off the dinner price if you go. i HIGHLY suggest going at this time if you want something a little more quiet, sashimi, and the chefs focusing on your order without any rush.... so technically, MDJ is now open the WHOLE day. yay. =) |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA Kaze Sushi All you can eat sushi buffet 4400 Dufferin Street, North York, ON M3H6A8 we went for our usual sunday sushi brunch to Kaze. we were curious about this restau bc it felt kind of odd to have an ayce at Dufferin and Finch (ha). so off we went. when we got to the plaza, the restaurant had a different name. confusing! but the menu had Kaze. it's worth a try. im not raving it's super awesome but if you live a bit on the west side and have no interest in wasting gas money to drive all the way east - i say kaze fits just right in there on the ayce list. |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA hey guys... friends have told me many times not to eat at ten-ichi.. im sure they have some sort of uniqueness compared to other ayce restaus, but word of mouth is word of mouth. friends paid $30 each for dinner and felt they didnt have $30 worth of food since service was really slow... i agree it's quite disappointing to have to pay for drinks at ayce... most ayce usually includes drinks for free... try other locations... there are other ayce restaurants with better food, better service, better price and unlimited drinks out there.. just need a bit of looking... if you dont mind driving up from ten-ichi... there's hatchitarou, yang's kitchent, sushi on 7, maison du japon, and more east: hockey sushi, kaze, maki sushi and many more.. |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA yes, found out it was sushi fun.. haven't been there thouch.. is this good ayce? just an update. we went to maki sushi last month.. there's really nothing special about their menu. they had speciality rolls which made it a bit interesting prior to eating the food - which i must say we did not really enjoy. maybe we had bad timing bc our sushi rice was hard when we went. the place looked great, but the chefs at hockey just around the corner were hands down better... it was a "meh" for me. it might be a better experience for someone just getting into the ayce scene... on the upside, went to hachitarou across markville mall yesterday for sunday brunch. just a few of us. went here before for a dinner bday and found the food was delicious and service was awesome - although it might be due to one of our guys knowing the owner... so sunday brunch we went. love that they have alot of different items on their menu compared to other ayces. a thumbs up on the sushi to rice ratio.. maki rolls were quite tasty and just the right size. BIG NOTE: make sure you order alot on your first round.. we found service got a bit slower when we finished our first round of orders and we were still hungry... their cooked food was awesome also. hachi has been known for their beef sashimi so we ordered this to try... we might've gotten the odd plate since it was sooo salty when we tried it. i'll give them another chance since we do plan to go back with a bigger group (we also noticed bigger groups got their food faster...) now moving on to dessert: YAY! they had red bean with ice cream.. milk tea with tapioca and the pop selection was as usual... they also had egg tarts,etc.. we didnt have a chance to taste everything on the menu but we're going back for sure. decor though is not uber-modernized but who cares.. food is great, washroom is decently clean and they wont bug you to leave unless you stay for more than 2 hours (which we did since we enjoyed the food so much and we're just a bunch of pigs really)... |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA how much is their lunch at maki sushi? saw their website and the decor is pretty nice. i just hope it's not like wasabi where place looks decent.. food is bad... went to sushi on 7 this past weekend for early dinner. we got there around 6 and was surprised the place wasn't as busy as i thought it would be. it did pick up around 8-ish though. food at sushi on 7 was decent. the maki rolls were too big but they were good enough. we were there for good food and we were not disappointed. loved their sake boiled mussels... but im just a sucker for anything broth-based, so you decide when you get there. we had great service. the people there gave us enough time to finish our food and asked if we want to go for another round. :) big plus! expectations for ayce restaus were never put on the same list as a la carte jap restaus.. there's a huge difference in food quality (obviously!) - ayce chefs wouldnt have as much time and care as a la carte chefs when it comes to sushi... so all in all.. i would go back to sushi on 7 - of course, with a small crowd so we can get the booths and not sit in the middle! =) also, was driving by yonge and clark area and passed by an ayce restau - had a green sign but didnt get the name - anyone been there? |

Went for a family dinner - sunday evening. First time going to Wasabi... i give it a 2/5 rating...overall. i wouldn't recommend if you're craving for a nice, simple sushi place to eat at. it was too much "nice-looking decor" and not enough "quality-good-food"... correct me if im wrong.. oh and one more thing. there was a whole tablespoon of leftover wasabi paste under one of the bowls we picked up when getting some tempura sauce (near the shrimp tempura area)... which left us paranoid with the rest of the dishes we were eating on... *sigh* |

Best All You Can Eat Japanese in Toronto GTA Has anyone been to Syogun Japanese Cuisine recently?.. and i mean within 2 weeks. A group of us have been hounding sushi restaus for a few years now. We're not uber-picky, just a CLEAN, decent service, and good food is what we're looking for. For the past year, we've been going to Maison du Japon at Woodbine and John. The place has great service, clean and they have alot of choices. The food is always fresh when we go (Sunday brunch). I really recommend you guys try it out. Be there early and you get the best quality food. =) Maison's still a favourite for our group, but we'd like to give the other restaus a try. We've been to Yang's and food is great there, but we waited for about an hour for our table and sat down for 30 minutes.. then they told it's last call..?? Left a bad taste.. so we're not going back there. We also tried Hockey Sushi up at Bathurst and the food there is good too, but the space was a little cramped. We've also tried Sushi Tomato once, it's closed now though. We've been to downtown ayce, midtown ayce, mississauga ayce... even Wasabi we've already tried and didn't like that one either. Syogun is just north of Maison, and has caught our attention. I was wondering if anyone's been there in the past 2 weeks. Other forums have been saying the service was slow and the place isn't that great... but that was a few years back. The most recent one i read was saying that service has improved alot, and many say the food quality is really good too. I've tried looking for a menu and their price and came out with nil. Found photos of their food from late 2009 and it looked great.... Can anyone help me out with this? |
