Restaurants by the Washington State Convention center
Agree on the recommendation for Sitka & Spruce. The new location is stunning, and their food always wows me. Make reservations, or have a glass of wine at Bar Ferdinand (also inside the Melrose Project building) while you wait.
I haven't yet been, but Blueacre Seafood (Kevin Davis - same owner/chef as Steelhead Diner which is not a fav of mine, but others love) is also over by the Convention Center.
Sushi recommendations downtown: Umi Sake House or Shiro's depending on your preference for sushi/scene.

I too never made it to the Fremont location, but had dinner there last night and definitely recommend checking it out. Had the Fukiyose Chirashi, and the sashimi was fresh and delicious. The miso soup that came with the Chirashi was quite interesting with the addition of Japanese eggplant and bok choy, something I hadn't expected. The service was friendly and attentive, and the space itself is simple, modern and gorgeous. I loved the massive wood doors in particular. Cost was also very reasonable. Parking was easy since we were there early, but I can imagine it getting a bit tough later on in the evening. And they take reservations which is always a plus in my book.

Two immediate restaurants that come to mind in downtown Bellevue and a short walk from your hotel would be Monsoon East and Bis on Main. Enjoy your visit!

seattle this weekend(nov 7-9) -dining alone
Spur (located downtown in Belltown) and How to Cook a Wolf (located a cab ride away at the top of Queen Anne hill) are both great choices. Alternately, you could come up to Capitol Hill (a long walk or a short cab ride away) and hit either/both of their sister restaurants Tavern Law or Anchovies & Olives. I've personally found more seafood choices at Anchovies & Olives than at How to Cook a Wolf, and I enjoyed the food more at Tavern Law than Spur. Union (downtown) is another of Ethan Stowell's restaurants and also a great place for solo dining. As for breakfast, Tom Douglas' Lola is probably my fav brunch downtown, followed closely by Boat Street Cafe (Belltown). Presse up on Capitol Hill is another great breakfast option. Enjoy your visit!

Where to have low-cost holiday party in downtown Seattle?
Okay, let's break this down further. Assuming your $600 budget needs to include gratuity means that you've got $500 to work with for apps/drinks. First off, go for a weekday night rather than the weekend, and with a group that size, I'd recommend a place with a private/semi-private area that doesn't require a booking/room fee. Black Bottle (www.blackbottleseattle.com) comes to mind as a viable option. The upstairs loft at Tavolata (http://www.tavolata.com) is another option. The upstairs at Purple Wine Bar (http://www.thepurplecafe.com/) could also work. Crow (http://www.eatatcrow.com/) in lower QA has a semi-private area that would be a great option too. Regardless of where you end up, get it booked as soon as possible, and let them know ahead of time your budget and figure out your specific food/bev options based on that. Order big platters of shared apps, and perhaps you choose several bottles of wine to share rather than letting everyone order individual cocktails/glasses of wine themselves to keep the cost down. Or you could also make it known in your invite that the first two drinks are covered, but with the current economy, you're on your own and it's a no-host bar after that. Best of luck!

In search of pizza in/near Columbia City on a Saturday afternoon. . . .
My first thought is Mioposto in Mt. Baker. Not only are they open for lunch, but they're super family friendly, and since it sounds like you need take out, they even offer curbside delivery. Owned by the Seattle Eats folks (formerly part of Chow Foods). I've eaten there several times, and the pizza is quite good. Not Flying Squirrel or Delancey good, but good nevertheless. : )
Here's their site: http://www.seattle-eats.com/mioposto/aboutmio/
Seattle Area Bakeries
I'd also recommend checking out Sugar (http://www.sugardelights.com/) in First Hill on Madison. For a new donut, try Mighty O (http://www.mightyo.com/). Their shop is in Greenlake/TangleTown, but you can also find them at Caffe Vita and Stumptown among others. Don't be scared off by them being vegan and organic; both their Vanilla Cake Glazed and French Toast donuts are divine. No one yet has mentioned Le Panier (http://www.lepanier.com/) in the market, but I have to admit if you can get over to West Seattle, Bakery Nouveau (http://www.bakerynouveau.com/) is unbelievable. Enjoy your visit!
Classy [bar? or..?] to follow classy dinner?
One more idea: drinks/music at the bar in El Gaucho.
Classy [bar? or..?] to follow classy dinner?
Since you'll in Queen Anne anyway for Canlis, I highly recommend a stop at Kerry Park. It's easily one of the best views in the city. If you wanted to stop off for a drink afterward, Bricco is a wine bar at the top of Queen Anne, and the bar at Opal is another winner; both would be good spots for a night cap after a big dinner at Canlis. I second the Sorrento Hotel as well. Enjoy the honeymoon and congratulations!
