Lamak in Ubud, Bali (food was terrific, but no small part if it’s high ranking is certainly the atmosphere); La Cueva del Pescador in Akumal, Mexico (not only for their ceviche, but for how they prepared and served our fresh-caught barracuda); Daniel, NYC (not only because food and service were outstanding, but because they treated Mom like a queen on her 88th birthday).
