After years of longing my husband took me to Melbourne's Rockpool. The whole meal was just perfect - dry aged rib-eye on the bone, perfectly blue. Wagyu fat potatoes, mustard beans, sauteed mushrooms and garlic roasted pumpkin and sweet potato. Homemade strawberry icecream and strawberry salad completed the meal with much happiness.
My current drink of choice:
I really wish I could:
Make pastry. Why, oh why can I not make pastry?
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Roast chicken with duck fat roast potatoes. Depending on the time of year depends on the sides. In winter it's roasted pumpkin and other roasted vegetables. In summer it's a green salad and a watermelon and feta salad. In winter for dessert it's truffle torte, in summer ice cream sundaes with hot peanut butter fudge sauce. Lots of wine and liqueur. BYO merriment or enjoy what we provide.
My favorite comfort food:
Wonton noodle soup! Can't get enough of it, especially in times of need.
My most tattered cookbooks:
'Faking it' by Delicious magazine. It's my absolute go-to when cooking for people and short on time. It ends up tattered as I splash on it lots in my hurry.
