Where is REAL NY pizza in Florida ?

Moon River on Edgewood and 14th (in Fernandina) is by far the best I have had since I left New York almost 30 years ago. Brooklyn Pizza off Baymeadows (Near 9A) comes in a close second. Renna's isn't bad, but they are low on my top 5. Mikes (or Nora's) Pizza (Merrill Road) Isn't bad either - but not in the same class as Moon River or Brooklyn Pizza. I have heard Tony's Brick House in Fernandina is good, but I have yet to go there. In Fernandina, behind the library is a place called Arte's Pizza. Very, Very good, but they don't sell by the slice and most of the time I just want something quick.

Restaurants in and around Amelia Island

Jinright's Seafood House has closed. It went from Seafood to an Italian restaurant - which, sadly, is already closed. There is a sign on it now that it will be a Chinese restaurant, but not opened yet. . .

LaSpada's Original Philly Cheesesteak in Orlando

if this is the same LaSpada's that was in Deland, I need a road trip. I havent been there in 12 years, but they had the best sandwiches and the largest calzone (an 18 inch pizza folded in half. . .)

I know it isn't a "true" sandwich, but the chicken phili with mushroom and bacon was the best sandwich (not to mention the biggest) I have had in a long, long time.

Every time I go down to Daytona area, I head over to Deland and Deltona to try and find it, but never can. I hear one is in Orange City, but haven't been there (yet).

Moving to Amelia Island for good, will go to Jacksonville for ingredients and dining

I live in Yulee and go to the Hedges Meat Market (on 17 just north of Hart) for 99% of my meats and Atlantic Seafood Bait & Tackle (10 Ash St, Fernandina, FL 32034) for most of my seafood. Don't let the Bait & Tackle scare you. They had the biggest scallops and the best price in town.
