Vegetarian Thanksgiving Entree

Tofu potpie! My mom used to always make it. It is hardy and can be made in mass quantities using casserole dishes.

Transporting Turkey Breast...HELP!

I am going to t-giving dinner at my parents' home. They are vegetarians, so I am cooking turkey breast for the few of us who want turkey. They live about an hour away and we will be arriving probably 3 hours before we are actually going to be eating turkey. They have 0 oven space to reheat, so reheating in the microwave is the only option. What to do??

1. Cook breast night before, slice, and refridgerate. Reheat sliced, cold breast at their house in the microwave. If I slice night before, should I add any juices to the slices as they sit overnight?

2. Cook breast day of. Transport as warm as possible. Let it sit out. Slice at their house and reheat slices in the microwave.

I did #2 last year, but always worry that I am going to kill everyone with food poisoning cuz the turkey has been left out. I just want to keep it as moist as possible, but I also have 2 little kiddos and the less fuss the better. Thanks!!!

Bellingham WA food inquiries

There are AWESOME places to eat in Bellingham especially for a smaller city. My aboslute favorite (I don't think mentioned) is Tivoli. Awesome food for a special (or not so special!) night out. Another spot is The Temple Bar. Great apps and smaller dinner items and GREAT drinks. Perfect night out?? Temple Bar first for a cheese plate and drinks AND then walk 2 blocks to Tivoli!

Breakfast in the morning?? Old Town Cafe.

Other places we LOVE:
Pepper Sisters (New Mexican)
Bajou on Bay (I think better than Alligator Soul in Everett)
La Fiama (pizza)
La Fiama Burger (good burgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers)
Nimbus (2nd to Tivoli for a night out)...great view, good scene

Palm Springs for Valentine's Day...Suggestions?

I have been desperately searching for a trendy, upscale restaurant to go to on Valentine's Day in Palm Springs. My husband and I will be there on vacation. So far here is what I am thinking...Citron or Tropicale?? Copley's gets awesome reviews, but it looks a little boring. We would like to find somewhere that is a bit more adventurous. The type of food really doesn't matter, but there must be good drinks! Any ideas?? Thanks!!
