First timer....last minute trip!

Ok, thank you so much for all of your responses!

As of now....
Eddie V'- Friday
blind burro, cucina urbana, or George's modern if we can get a reservation or maybe just sit at the bar for our last two nights.

Fish tacos- Oscar's, Marisco's el pescador, and south beach bar are all potentials.

I will certainly report back...thanks for all your help!

Yes, if anyone has an opinion on Market Del Mar I would love to hear it.

Also, I would like any other opinions on Fish Public.

George's must be good...no reservations on Sunday either! I will call tomorrow and see if we could get on a waitlist or we can try the bar.

We certainly don't mind driving two nights in a row if the restaurants are worth it. We also have Sunday night, so we could always do that is well.

I mean Market Del Mar...any thoughts?

George's doesn't have a reservation for Saturday, but we could always eat in the bar.

Yes, we have a reservation for Eddie V's...a little on the later side, but we have it! Drinks before at George's sounds great.

We are definitely going to the farmer's market saturday and renting the bikes sounds fun.

Would you choose George's Modern, Market, or Cucina Urbana for another dinner?

Any other good brunch options?

Thanks again! We can't wait...

I was looking into the blind burro. We are definitely doing Eddie V's for Vday and I have looked into Georges Modern as well.

I have looked at nine-ten, but can't tell if it is quite worth it?!?

I was intrigued by fish public, but the above comment has me second guessing myself...is the food not worth the trip?

Oscar's looks great as well for lunch.
I will certainly update after my trip...I always appreciate the help!

The Hilton Bayfront I think, but we will have a car, so location doesn't matter much.

Thank you for all of your replies.
Looks like we will do Eddie V's on v-day
Sat- either Market or Fish Public
Sunday- Cucina Urbana

Does Marisco's do grilled fish tacos as well?

I could not find the Top of the Market article? I would be interested in reading it. Thanks!

First timer....last minute trip!

My husband and I are taking a last minute trip valentine's day weekend...need some recs for dinner on vday (doesn't have to be fancy, but good food), a few places for the best fish tacos, and a few other dinners. We love seafood and mexican (a bit upscale) for dinner, but again love good fish tacos...

14th- hard night with reservations. So far, have made one at The Fishery, Top of the Market, Eddie V's, Fish Public...Any of those worth it? Any other suggestions?

- We would love to try Market, no reservations. Will try for another night.
-Is the Blind Burro good? The menu looks great.
-Also have reservation for Saturday at nine-ten.

We have never been to the area and would love some some help!

Napa/Sonoma Restaurant Question

Thanks for the advice. We have been to Redd before and are planning on returning although could not secure a reservation, so will try and sit at the bar. Have you heard anything about Cyrus recently?

Special winery in Sonoma for Anniversary celebration

Goldang- we will be trying to go to Sojourn and a few others in the area. I checked into Hanzell, but didn't feel paying the money for the tour, even though the wines are supposed to be great. I am really looking into Ram's Gate for their wine/food pairing as well.

Napa/Sonoma Restaurant Question

My husband and I are traveling to the Sonoma area in a few weeks for our anniversary. We have been there 2X before and part of our draw to the area (the wien of course) is the amazing food. The last time we were there we went to Cyrus and had an unbelievable experience, but it was when they were more flexible with their menu choices. We have a reservation there for our upcoming trip, but trying to decide if we should give Terra or Farmhouse Inn a shot for our "1" special dinner....

Any input would be greatly appreciated as we have not been to Terra or Farmhouse before.
Thanks!

I checked that out and they look awesome. Would there be a place that you recommend for maybe a food/wine pairing experience?

Special winery in Sonoma for Anniversary celebration

We will be visiting the Sonoma area for the 3rd time in a few weeks. Our 2nd anniversary is July 4th and having been to the area before I am looking for that one special place we could spend a few hours on that day. We will be in the Russian River Valley area as well as closer to downtown Sonoma. Driving is not a problem. Basically looking for a smaller (maybe family owned) winery that can either do a special tasting that is not touristy and will focus on us. We love pinot noir, sparkling, and my husband loves Zin.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Trip report Woodinville Wa

My husband and I are heading to the area in about a week for wine tasting. We enjoy smaller less known winemakers that make quality wines. We are not impressed with the big commercial places (although will visit chateau st. michelle against my better judjement). That being said we have 2 days...are there any must go to wineries in Woodinville?!? Thanks!

Seafood/Restaurants in Seattle

Hi all...My husband and I are travelling to Seattle to visit friends in about a week. I am looking for a good seafood happy hour option (maybe somewhere with a patio where we can sit outside on the water?!?)

Also, I have looked into some restaurants for dinner:

Barolo
Staple and Fancy
Book Bindery
Pink Door

We will be taking our friends out for dinner one night, so we would like something nice that has varied options, but not to $$....would Pink Door fit the bill?

Then one night we will be going out along...we are seafood lovers, so which of the other 3 would you suggest or is there one I am missing.

Thanks!!!

AMALFI COAST RESTAURANTS!

Thank you for all of the insight. I think we will just go with the flow when in Ravello. I do love seafood (I live on it too) and we will be in Florence and then Tuscany for 11 nights prior to the Amalfi Coast, so I am sure I will be ready for seafood when I get to Praiano. Any recommendations for great seafood?!?

AMALFI COAST RESTAURANTS!

Honeymoon in July and staying in Praiano for 5 nights! I would love some help with critiquing my choices as there are so many. I will also say I love seafood, so if I am missing any of the best choices for that please let me know.

lunch- Ravello-cumpa cosimo; A Paranza- Atrani; La Cambusa- Positanol; (lunch in Nocelle one day when we do Walk of the gods).

Dinner- Il Ritrivo-Montepertuso, Hosteria il Pino- Praiano

Other options for dinner include: Next2, Da Vincenzo, il Fornillo, Mediterraneo

Does anyone have any other suggestions or places I haven't listed?!? Thanks for all your foodie help.

FLORENCE, TUSCANY, AMALFI COAST, ROME HONEYMOON...NEED A MIX OF RESTAURANTS

Thank you all for the recommendations. I have been to Florence and remember Antico Noe. I cannot wait to go back there. My goal is to stay away from touristy restaurants, although I know in Florence that can be hard. If there are any recommendations for the Tuscany area as well as wineries that would be great!

FLORENCE, TUSCANY, AMALFI COAST, ROME HONEYMOON...NEED A MIX OF RESTAURANTS

Hi all. I am in the planning stages of my July Honeymoon and am overwhelmed with restaurant choices. My fiance and I love seafood, pizza, pasts, relaxed atmosphere (non-touristy), a few special meals (especially in Rome for our last night)...Any recomendations for the above places would be appreciated (we are staying in Florence 3 nights, right outside Siena 3 nights, Montepulciano 3 nights, 4-5 nights in Amalfi, 1-2 nights Rome). Thanks in advance!!!
