Dim Sum after 2pm on a Sunday near Silver Spring?
We wanted to take a group out for dim sum before a 5:15 show at AFI. Is this just a dream, or can you recommend a place?

Mussels in Brussels?
todao. This was fantastic! One of the guests took the leftover sauce home and poured it over pasta. She said it was the "best sauce she has ever had"! Thanks for the tip! You are my hero!

Many years ago I traveled to Brussels. We had mussels, but they served it with some type of green in the sauce of garlic and wine. I could not understand the translation. Does anyone know what this was?
Jacques Pepin's crispy kale
I just throw the kale in a ziploc bag and toss in some olive oil. I massage the bag so most are coated.

Bake the wontons in the cup first. Spray cups with Pam or Vegelene.

I make wonton wrappers in mini muffin tins and fill with quiche, a bit of brie and roasted red pepper. I need to make many of these to send to a party. Do you think these would taste okay and hold up at room temp? any idea of other things to put in the quiche mixture?

Chili and Salsa Alert!
I hope this is okay to post here. Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville is hosting a Tomato Festival this Saturday, the 27th. Included is a chili cook-off and salsa competition. There were some great chili's and salsas last year.

I found a wonderful small shop in Belgium for mustards. They scooped it out of a large vat into a small ceramic container with a cork lid. Yummy mustard!

I like the Adolph's meat marinade. It is very hard to find. last time I saw it, I bought a dozen packets. if anyone knows a source....
Restaurant Week philosophy?
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I was thinking a Restaurant Week would showcase the talents of their chef, offer a bit of a deal and generally try to attract new customers to a restaurant. Around here, the menus seem boring and few "deals" to be had. Who has the rules?

I need to incorporate more veggies in my diet. I do like broccoli and asparagus. We have just discovered roasted cauliflower and Kale crispies. What recipes do you use to make veggies more interesting? Is there a good cookbook I should get?

We are looking for a good Dim Sum experience for about 10 people. Willing to drive from Annapolis if it is worth it. I have looked at lots of Dim Sum threads on here, but most reviews seem old. Any new reviews or updates?
New Years Eve Food?
We had a dinner for 10. Made Beef Wellington and roasted potatoes. Friends brought paula Deen's Fancy Green beans, a wonderful salad and creme brulee.

I think poultry seasoning would work also. I do have the Everglades seasoning without salt. I agree the regular can be too salty. The tomato slices on top are essential.

Stuffed with a mixture of goat cheese, spinach, mushroom, and roasted red peppers along with some Everglades Seasoning. Place a couple of plum tomato slices on top with a bit more Everglades seasoning.
