Huy Fong (rooster brand) sriracha in London?

As this thread has been resurrected anyway, it won't be too bad me posting this! I was in a Tesco in Somerset recently and found the Huy Fong sriracha for sale there. Mildly tipsy and ecstatically happy, I stocked up. Not sure if it's in all Tescos, but give your local one a go!

Birmingham food scene

My main recommendation would be for Matthew's in the Custard Factory - Been twice now since it opened (December) and have another booking for Thursday. It's lovely food, nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. Also, two tapas bars in the Moseley area that are worth going to - La Plancha in Moseley and Byzantium in Kings Heath.

[Kenilworth] Spending a week and looking for food recs.

In Kenilworth there are a few nice low key restaurants if you have a wander around. There used to be Simply Simpsons, sister restaurant to Simpsons in Birmingham, but this is now Petit Gourmand as mentioned above. I haven't had the chance to visit yet, but friends have told me that it's lovely. I've also heard good things about Raffles.
A little down the road is Leamington Spa, with plenty of restaurants for you to visit. Excellent french food at good prices is found at Le Bistrot Pierre and Oscars, sushi at Sushiya and a decent Indian can be found at Memsaab. If you don't mind traveling a little further, Mallory Court has a michelin star
In Coventry the choice is currently a little lacking, I generally enjoy a cheap eat at Browns. Gorgeous home cooked food with big portions and a lovely atmosphere. Good selection of beers too.

Hungry, beer- thristy Americans traveling to York and Manchester (UK)

I definitely agree with the Marble Arch, lovely place. If you didn't mind traveling about 10-15 minutes out of Deansgate, then I would definitely recommend Palmiro (, a wonderful little Italian on the borders of Chorlton. If you do decide to go, give them a call first. There is a pub called the Hilary Step next door, perfect for a pint after your meal. Also, I've always had a lovely time in the Briton’s Protection, next to the Bridgewater Hall and they often have very decent beers on.
I often drink and eat in Manchester but for some reason have a mental block now! Will try and think of some other places and get back to you.
