Great Neck Glatt has by far the best quality meat around. Their takeout food is very good as well. Important to continue to support the original butchers in town.
Reviews of Passover Hotel Programs?
I was at the program in Long Island and whatever changes were made at the end didn't help the change the situation for anyone, like my family, who was there for only the first days of yomtov. The food was very poor quality and there were so many issues with the service, from the minor - like no menus were provided to guests at any sit down meal to the major issues - like setting up breakfast in a room that had seating for maybe 75-100 people when there were over 300 people at the program. Yes - they had a good line up of speakers, but for those who spent a lot of hard earned money to take their family away for Pesach, the speakers, some of whom tried to use "mussar" to make people feel bad about complaining, doesn't make up for a program that didn't deliver what was advertised.

Was at Eden Tours - Hyatt Windwatch in Long Island. Catering was by Hoffman & Co out of Maryland. Food was terrible. Overall program was disorganized.

Heading to Miami Beach next week and staying at the Fontainebleau. Anyone have any recent updates about Friday Night Kosher Meal options in Miami Beach and walking distance to the hotel?
Orlando Kosher Groceries
Going to Orlando with the family next week and staying in timeshare on Disney property. Looking for recent updates of kosher restaurants to go to with little kids. Also wondering which supermarkets have the best selection of kosher items to stock our kitchen.
Saturday Night Kosher Las Vegas
Thanks for all the insights. Decided to test Coffee Bean since we didnt have enough time to make the trek to Panini (which we did go to for breakfast on friday and was delicious) on saturday night. Unfortunately all that was left was egg salad sandwhiches and a veggie bean burritto, not exactly what we were looking for, but we made do.

Rosa's pizza - Empire State Bldg.
Who eats pizza at 11 am? The fact that they didnt have pizza ready at 11am on a Sunday when most midtown restaurants are not open on Sunday doesnt change the fact that their pizza is great and also the most economical of all pizza places in the midtown area.

If you are looking for shabbos - if you can make it to Brookline - The Butcherie on Harvard Street has a full takeout counter. Not all their meat is GLATT (they sell both) - so depending on your kashrut needs, be sure to ask.
Other options for shabbos food that will deliver:
Rubin's Deli in brookline will deliver shabbos meals
Milk Street Cafe located downtown may provide shabbos food delivery through their corporate catering division. Their restaurant does not offer shabbos food to be purchased.
In terms of Saturday night and Sunday - all your kosher options are going to be in Brookline. Given that shabbos is over late, not sure what will be open - likely only Taam China.
Good options for Sunday include:
Cafe Eilat (pizza/dairy)
Taam China (chinese)
Rami's (middle eastern)
Jerusalem Grill (Israeli)
Rubins (deli)
Good Kosher lunch in midtown
If you like pizza - i highly recomend Rosa's. The pizza is delicious and the prices are very reasonable compared to Milk and Honey.
Olympic Pita is also very good for lunch - their falafel is slightly more expensive than Moishe's, but you get a full salad bar included (israeli salad, american salad, cole slaw, cabbage salad, onions, pickles, etc., unlike Moshes where you only get lettuce, tomato and pickles.
Turquoise UWS
Ate dinner a couple of weeks ago on Thursday night. Food was expensive, but delicious. Restuarant itself is small, but intimate dining experience. As with most kosher restuarants, it was pretty loud. I would suggest reservations.

Kosher Butcher in Westchester
For Orthodox supervision, the only Glatt Kosher place in Westchester is Supersol in Scarsdale. There are a number of Glatt Kosher Restaurants on North Avenue in New Rochelle (Grill Point, Subway, Prime Time Cafe and Eden Wok). I would suggest Grill Point. Excellent food.
Dutch Wonderland's Glatt Kosher Eatery
When is themepark food ever priced well? Have you ever been to Disney and spent $2.50 on a water that you can buy for 40 cents at a supermarket. I have gone multiple times with my family to Dutch Wonderland and it is a pleasure to at least have a kosher option to eat with the kids. It is a great service that the local Lancaster Jewish Community provides and I am sure that it helps support the community. Yes, the food is not the best, but lets be realistic this is not Prime Grill, it is themepark food.

We have used Great Neck Glatt (yes they do catering in Westchester) and they have done an excellent job. Call their number (available on their website) and ask for Kenny.
Has Anyone Been to SOLO for the Top Chef?
Went with a group of 7 people (i was on the only one who kept kosher) on Thursday night. Extremely disappointed. Service was terrible to the point of embarrassing. Angus steak was good, but the rest of the food was nothing special.
Grill Point New Rochelle -- Reviews?
I am sick of those people complaining that it is not as good as Haspisgah. They are totally different style restuarants. I have gone to Grill Point numerous times since it opened, mostly for takeout. I have found the food very good and very reasonably priced. For all those who complain, I assume they would prefer to be stuck driving 30+ minutes in each direction in order to eat anything other than chinese...
As with most "israeli style" restaurants, service is an issue. Hopefully as time goes on they will be able to improve the service. I hope that people continue to support the store.
Kosher Subway Now Open In...New Rochelle!
Just to clarify: This was an existing Subway store that just became kosher. I went this past Monday and they still did not have all the items available (steak sub, meatball sub, tuna sub, etc.). Also, prices were very high - 7.99 for six inch corned beef sub. Unfortunately, I don't think that the market is strong enough in the area for this store to survive.
Grill Point - New Rochelle
Went last night at around 8:15. There were tables available. Got takeout. Shwarma was good. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. For those of us who keep kosher is Scarsdale/New Rochelle, let's hope they succeed!!

Anyone have any news on the Grill Point in New Rochelle at the location of the old deli? A coming soon sign has been up for months. Westchester really needs new kosher options.
