Pizzeria Delfina -- Won't be back
Sadly, I have to agree that the kitchen is overstretched. The pizza is great, but it is not a relaxing environment which is exactly what pizza is supposed to be! Try Patsie's Pizza on Valencia and 14th for a decent pie and a nice, relaxing experience. Or brave the wait for a table at Pizzetta 211. Once you finally get a seat you wil find the service effecient and charming. The way a pizza place should be.

Sadly, I think you are right about the kitchen being stretched too thin. It is damn good pizza, but not the only show in town, and just too crowded for a relaxing experience, which is exactly what getting a nice pizza pie is supposed to be about. Try Paxies on Valencia for a decent pie and a much more relaxing experience, or brave the tiny quarters of Pizetta 211 on 21st off Clement. There you will certainly have to wait for a seat, but once in your food will come out in a timely manner and the quality of the pizza stands up to and perhaps in some instances surpasses Delfina.
