Hmmm, given that I fly in and out of Pisa - maybe that is the best option. Just want to make the most of my eating experience and a wide range of food while I am there

I am heading to Tuscany for 5 days and am staying near Castellina in Chianti. Have been doing there research for where to eat out, but have not seen any comments on where to find Cacciucco... any suggestions?

Just a bit worried that I am trying to cram too much into a short trip. My boyfriend still naively thinks this is going to be a relaxing holiday sitting in a farm and drinking wine.

My boyfriend and I are heading to Italy for 5 days during the last weekend of August. We are staying at a Farm near Castellina in Chianti. Niether of us have been to the area, but have come up with a last minute plan. Suggestions comments would be greatly appreciated. I am a bit worries that my plan is too ambitious.

27 August

- Arrive in Pisa at 10:00am and pick up the rental car.
- Drive to Lucca, and spend half day there with Lunch at Buca di San Antonio prior to heading to Castellina in Chianti. (Is it worth doing a detour to Lucca?)
- Evening relax at the hotel followed by dinner at Solociccia or Vescovino in Panzanno.
28 August

- Spend the day in Florence - walk around the city and go to the duomo. (Given that I have not made any advanced bookings for the museums, I think I will have to give this a miss till my next trip. )
- Lunch at a stall - maybe just grab some lamperdotto?
- Dinner at Sostanza or Trattoria Cibereo?

29 August
- Cycle tour around Chianti - have booked this with a tour group and it starts at Gaiole includes a visit to Castello di Brolio.
- Lunch at the mercy of the tour company
- Dinner at Restaurant di Lamole (if we still have the energy) or head to Greve and have dinner at Taverna del Guerrino instead?

30 August
Spend the day in Siena, again walk around the city and check out the sites. (is there something that I just should not miss?)
- Lunch at L'Osteria
- Dinner at Grotta di Santa Caterian

31st August
- Head to Pisa in the morning
- go see the leaning tower and gab lunch somewhere close by
- head to the airport back to london

The plan is to spend the first day taking it easy, 1 day in Florence, 1 day in Sienna, 1 day touring in Chianti (wine tours maybe) and the last day playing it by ear. Both of are looking to eat traditional tuscan food (Bistec fiorentina / Lamperdotto / Panzella all come to mind - but would love other recomendations), within the 30 euro per person mark (although, happy to have one meal a bit more expensive), we are happy to drive anywhere within an hour from Tregole, views are a bonus, sight-seeing close by - another bonus. My boyfriend and I are heading to Tuscany for 5 days (4 nights) from the 27 - 31 August. We are staying at an agriturismo in Tregole (Fattoria Tregole). While he prefers to take it as it comes... the one thing I don't want to leave to chance is the eating and wine. I have come up with a rough itinerary, but wanted your opinions, and maybe help narrowing the choices down.

My partner and I have been in a quandry about where in Central London to go for our anniversary dinner. While the obvious choices are Le Gavroch, Ledbury, Waering etc - to be honest I am a bit bored of the Michelin Starred French Restaurant Scene. It seems like we go to one of these everytime there is an occasion so the novelty has worn off. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for something a bit different, off the beaten track - some suggestions have been things like Ronnie Scotts - and I do like the idea, just that I have been therefore and you can't really talk during the show. We are both adventurous, happy to try new foods - not particularly married to the idea of something posh, with candles - although it would be nice if the tables were slightly far apart, the service not rushed and the food should be delicious! We are both in our early 30s - I'm Indian, he is Italian - so preferably neither of those cuisines - as we cook enough of that at home. Any suggestions?

The temptation with Le Moulin was the fact that it is in Montmartre and open on a Sunday. So I was thinking that on Saturday - I could go to CAJ for lunch - do something a little more swanky at night... then perhaps have a few drinks and maybe even go dancing that night. So given I was thinking of a relatively late night on Sat - I thought it would be easy to do something local (in Montmartre) on Sudnay night. For Sunday lunch I was thinking Le Reminet. (Unfortunately, Le Gaigne is no longer open on Sundays)! Monday lunch I have booked La Cinq and then head back to London Monday evening. So still need to work out where to eat my Sat / Sunday dinners. Any recommendations in Montmartre?

Hmm... wow lots of choices! Also someone recomended a place called Le Moulin de La Galette. Has anyone been there... what is the food like? I am checking the options for Le Cinq... as well as seeing what else I can get booked in.

See now I am just miserable... I love foie gras and truffles even better.. but I am in Paris from Sat - Monday and it seems that Regalade is closed all three days! I am happy to do a splurge lunch instead of dinner... so do you think Le Cinq or Ledoyen would be better than La Grand Cascade?

I have booked Chez L'Ami Jean for Saturday Lunch. And hopefully one of these places is open on Sunday!

Definately up for wine with my meal... and the budget I was looking at was excluding drinks... so if there are other options I'd love to know about them!

My boyfriend and I are travelling to Paris and staying in Montmartre for a long weekend. We were hoping for most of the meals to be within the Euro 40 pp range - but maybe one special dinner out within the 80pp mark. Any suggestions for some some restaurants - and maybe even what the best things to order might be? Ideally something not touristy and that gives a real flavour for good french food. Any help would be appreciated!
