La Belle Terre Bread French Bakery Café in Las Vegas makes some good ones. My French coworker told me about this café which is run by a French couple

HELP! Craving REAL hot chocolate (thick) and CHURROS!

You can try both at Amara in Pasadena. Really friendly staff.

Chinese Spaghetti Restaurant Opens in City of Industry

What is the new place a few places down from Pasta Joe's? The sign is only in Chinese and I haven't been by when it's been opened to grab a menu.

The Pacific Plaza food court hasn't been the same in years...I do miss the days of the battle of 3 for $10.xx restaurants vying for your biz. Newport Seafood is doing quite well since remodeling.

Next plaza over, I am surprised Stone Age is still opened after a year :D

NEED stinky tofu. Not the squishy hotpot kind.

There's another Tofu King that opened up in Arcadia, so if that may help you if that location is closer ^_^ I can still recall the super stinky smells from the night markets in TW....not sure that'd go over too well here lol....
My wife (TWnese) loves the stinky tofu as well, she likes the tofu king's the best so far. I know MJ cafe sells it, don't bother, it's bad.....

Scoop From TonyC--85°C Café Opening Branch in Hacienda Heights This Summer

We went Saturday afternoon, the wait wasn't overly long. The line did grow long after we arrived. But sadly, not much bread was left, they couldn't get em out fast enough and I wasn't waiting 40mins for the mocha bread. I got some other breads and my favorite coffee jelly milk tea drink.

The ones here are probably different then in Asia. I never even noticed them in Taiwan. They're more known for their breads here then the drinks.

enter thru the church lot and park in the structure, less headaches ^_^
I only go there on trips to the OC, the drink lines aren't as long as lollicup's lines.
Even guppy house is crowded there, just not much choice for the UCI kids ;)

Seasons 52 in Costa Mesa - any thoughts?

I've been there twice. We're not a fan of chains but the one at SCP was good. Even my wife liked it and she won't eat at most chains. The food was really good.

If one HAD to pick a buffet in Vegas...

Went to Wicked Spoon last Sunday. We liked it and will probably go again the next trip. Cosmo seems to have it all, good eats and a day pool club ;)

best LA county macaroons?

there's so many places making them and most of them don't compare to ones made in Paris. The whole macaron bubble has gotten out of hand lol ^_^ Bottega Louie's are a good bet, as with any of their pastries......

Pasadena is weak!

Thaitalian has been gone for awhile. Naga Naga replaced it, a thai run ramen shop that'd I skip getting ramen at. Next to it is a new pita place opening up. Europane for bakeries is meh...not much choice bakeries wise. There is a new Lovebirds branch across from Gelsons.

What is this Chinese pastry called?

It's hard to tell by the pic, sorta reminds me of King's Hawaiian Bread :)
The only thing close that I've seen around LA/OC Chinese bakeries, is brioche.
