there is coconut yogurt. The brand name is So Delicious by Turtle Mountain. I believe it is parve. If not, you could perhaps thicken some coconut or almond milk....or use mayo instead?

the recipe I use is contains mayo, dill, garlic powder and onion powder. it's yummy with salmon.

Toffuti is great, try to find that if you can. If not, maybe try a pareve soy or coconut yogurt. To make it thicker like sour cream, strain it for a few hours.

Does anyone know why sweet potatoes sometimes turn black when cooked? I've heard that it is the sugar carmelizing, but I don't think that's it. It looks like part of the potato is rotting.
