Calamari

Yuet Lee's food is not too bad. Haven't tried their squid yet. Their service is not very good. Do watch for rude waitresses , I 've seen that happened a couple of times to some customers.

Best lobster thermidor in the Bay Area

Scoma's goes for $32 for a baked lobster on the half shell and the quantity of meat is kinda stingy . Like I said , the quality of the place is deteriorating and become just a tourist restautant. It seems like Scoma's does not pay attention at customers feedback after owner Al Scoma passed away. The reservation lady especially is not very friendly overthere.

How much does it go for at Tadich? from your post it sounds very tempting indeed.

I've been to so many dim sum restaurants including all those mentioned in the posts here. My vote is going to Koi in Daly City

PHO

PHO is originated from Northern Vietnam. The North Vietnamese resettlers came to the south when Vietnam was divided and brought with them their pho cooking expertise. The South Vietnamese pho is served differently from their Northern counterparts. Both are excellent. The Southern Pho served with bean sprouts and mint leaves in the same bowl with white noodles while the Northern pho served without mint and sprouts. Most pho outlets in the Bay area run by the Vietnamese ethic Chinese and are considered imitation. The good authentic Northern Vietnamese PHO place in San Francisco that many Vietnamese who live in San Francisco going for their pho is Turtle Tower on Larkin street

Taiwan Restaurant on Clement - Fantastic Wonton Soup, Doughnuts + More! [San Francisco]

I lunch at Taiwan frequently. The dishes you mentioned are my favorites. Their price is so reasonable that you can take the whole family there for a Staurday lunch without breaking the bank. They have the best chinese donut in the whol city, imho. My favorite dinner dish is Taiwan country spareribs. they alos have wonderful and popular mustard green with shreeded pork noodle soup. Try those if you haven't

Best lobster thermidor in the Bay Area

I love lobster thermidor. On occasions I go to Scoma's in San Francisco fisherman's wharf for my favorite dinner treat. For many years going there I think they offer wonderful lobster thermidor from their menu. Lately I think the quality has been going down hill. My last visit there I found the dish was not hot when reaching my table and the cook did not even top the lobster with cheese and broil it.

I am looking for a different restaurant now next time for my lobster thermidor. Anybody has any suggestions?
