Omaha weekend eats recommendations

Try Marks or Darios in Dundee (50th and California area). They are both same, locally owned and unique. There is a nice gallery underneath Marks that has great jewelry. Neither of them is remotely like Bohemian Cafe, which I think is horrible.

There is also a new wine bar in the Old Market. I liked it and the food was great. I don't know what it is called, it in the south east end of the Old Market.

I also like Come On Into My Kitchen, which is roughly at 52nd and Leavenworth. It is run by Gene Camarata (?) who has a weekly radio show about food, etc. He cooks, the food is great. They mainly do lunches and brunch and private parties.

I would also recommend Espana http://espanaomaha.com/
although we have had difficulty there. THe first time, we loved it, they serve sangria and tapas. Very cosy and intimate, definately need reservations. I am highly allergic to scallops, so something must have touched scallops, we did order shrimp. Well, I was up all night puking, knew my scallop allergy had kicked in.

The next time I was in with a work group, they were more than accomodating. We tried again but ended up in the ER that night with a sick child so we missed our reservation.

Nicolas http://www.nicolasinthemarket.com also in the old market is also great from what I hear. We have tried to go but there is always a several hour wait. You really need a reservation.

Roja is a great Mexican place out west. THey have great mango margaritas and some other really unusual items on their menu. Great atmosphere too!
