Best meal I ever ate:
From a favorite french chef - who moved away years ago: coquilles St. Jacques, potatoes au gratin, and the most incredible mousse au chocolate EVER! The restaurant dining area was the small first floor dining room in an old farmhouse. It was magic. Bless you, chef.

Wine always, champagne close second

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Crepes - see below. Works, and no one I know makes them, so I'm good.
My favorite comfort food:
Warm crispy chicken and mushroom crepes, made with a very good gruyere. Simple, elegant, and perfect Sunday morning repast with champagne, a fire going, and two happy corgis begging for a bite (sorry, girls.)

I'm still looking. Most have been replaced with chains, sadly.
My most tattered cookbooks:
All, but the most tattered is my Fannie Farmer Cook Book - which I've had since a wee bride so many years ago.
