Cold Weather = Saltenas....new places to try

My family is very picky when it comes to buying Bolivian "take-out" because we look for the authenticity of the dish as if it were prepared in Bolivia (no skimping on the salt or any of the ingredients) and it has to overall meet our tastebud needs. Thus said, we only buy Luzmillas. Their jugo de durazno is delicious as well.

Indian City Grill in Fairfax

I highly recommend this restaurant! I am not in any way indian, but this has been some of the best indian food I have ever had. The food smelled, looked, and tasted authentic. Apart from that the owner was there and was very personable and nice. The only thing I did not like were the prices ($$$). I recommend going for lunch over dinner.

Choices by Shawn in Old Town Fairfax?

Wow, I didn't realize Sweet Life had closed! Nonetheless, I am eager to try this Choices by Shawn in the near future. The menu on their website looks good.

I am trying to locate the Coconut M&Ms in the Bethesda MD area ... any sightings ?

If you are still on the lookout for these coconut m&ms, I found some at the gas station near the cash register. I didn't find these anywhere near the dc area, but the candy section at a gas station would be worth a try.

CHOW's Intense Brownies

I just finished my first brownie from this batch and it was scrumptiously perfect. I went all the way with the intensity of this recipe by adding my leftover ghirardelli dark chocolate chips to the batter, which made the brownies very sweet and rich (but good). I would recommend eating them warm with a cup of milk or unsweetened soy milk!!

Best Yogurt on Earth?

I have to agree that Liberte's blackberry yogurt is my favorite. I love the fact there are actually blackberries on the bottom. However, I equally love Chobani's strawberry yogurt and good old trader joe's vanilla yogurt.

Need eating suggestions for 3 week trip to Colombia

You MUST eat at Andrés Carne de Rés. This place is a carnivore's paradise, but at the same time the food is adventurous and eclectic. It is located in Chia, Colombia- which is not far from Bogota and worth the trip. Have fun!
