Italian Restaurant???

Thank you all so much for your suggestions. You've led me to a few choices and I really appreciate your help! BTW, what's OP?
I will more than likely be dining alone. Just don't want to look like a complete loser who got stood up.

Italian Restaurant???

Just want some good pasta and wine and a nice atmosphere. Doesn't matter if it's "American" or not.

Italian Restaurant???

Party of 2, maybe just me. Which means I'll need good friendly service if it's just me.
Would be ok with spending around $100-$150pp Nothing too fancy. Wanting more dark light, red and white tablecloths, etc. You know, like in the movies ;)

Italian Restaurant???

Small town girl coming to the big city wants to have authentic Italian feast (and good wine!). Hotel is close to Little Italy, but will travel all over the city for the perfect setting/wine list/meal. No tourist traps or chain restaurants. Do I need reservations?
Suggestions?

Pie in NYC

Headed to the city in a couple weeks for a "Pie Hunt". Obviously will go to Bubby's and 4&20 Blackbird. Any other hidden pie shops or restaurants with good homemade pie?

Pie in DC?

Honestly, from my kitchen. ;)

Pie in DC?

just looked up Best Pie in Bowie. I might have to give that a try, but am looking more in the city.

Pie in DC?

Pie in DC?

I hate to say, don't want to bad talk any establishments...

Pie in DC?

I went to three different places last weekend to find good pie. All were horrible. Is there any good pie in DC?

Peach Melba Pie

It looks as if in this picture, the peaches are left on. To peel peaches quickly, put them whole in boiling water for about 30 seconds. Rinse with cold water, and the peels will slide right off!

Snickerdoodles

I made these this past weekend, and while I was surprised they weren't puffy like other Snickerdoodles I've tasted, they were nice and crispy with a "snap" when I bit into them! Maybe I cooked them too long, but they were still EASY and YUMMY!!

Eye Round Roast Recipes??

Jessi-
Marinade:
1 cup plum preserves
1 cup red wine
1/4 cup worschechire
1/4 cup soy sauce
fresh rosemary
fresh thyme
black pepper
kosher salt
5 garlic cloves chopped
Mix all ingredients and put into large Ziploc bag and add the roast. Marinate at least 3 hours, or overnight. Remove meat and roast in oven at 375 degrees until internal temp is 105-115 (depending on how done you like your beef)
While the meat is cooking, pour marinade through a strainer into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer until thick like a syrup. Ladel the sauce over sliced beef. Let me know how it turns out!
