Uni with mein Freund - the Uni Spoon may be the most expensive spoonful you've ever eaten ($16 a pop), but it's also the most delicious. Oldies: with my parents at OM in Harvard Square (truffled steak and eggs!) and with my sister at Soif in Santa Cruz, CA (see blog).
My current drink of choice:
A proper Manhattan.
I really wish I could:
make a living writing about food, bone a chicken in a minute flat, afford truffles, eat hollondaise every day without destroying my health.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Homemade fresh mint chip ice cream
My favorite comfort food:
Roasted sweet potatoes
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Craigie Street Bistrot (Cambridge, MA), Oleana (Cambridge, MA), Le Voltaire (Paris, France), Cafe Zuni (San Francisco, CA), The Garden (Cambridge, MA)
My most tattered cookbooks:
The Joy of Cooking, Barefoot Contessa, Fusion Food Cookbook, Cooking for Mr Latte (not a cookbook per se but the recipes are GENIUS), Tender at the Bone and anything else by Ruth Reichl (ditto), Dean and Deluca Cookbook, How to Cook Everything
