Lunch all day Sunday in Hartford or W Hartford with Gluten Free Option

Looking for a place that will serve lunch on Sunday after 2pm or all day menu with gluten free options. Will be in Wethersfield but are able to go to Hartford or West Hartford. Thanks!

49 Social in Downtown Crossing

Went to 49 Social a week ago. They took over the old Ivy spot and the place looks great. Wine concept is still the same with bottles at $28 dollars and up. The food was really tasty. We shared a light meal and started with the Burrata and Tomato salad. Tomato's were fresh and the Burrata was very silky and creamy. Had the Rib Eye which was perfectly cooked and large enough for 2 of us to be comfortably full. They brought us a complimentary sampling of their deserts which were all delicious.
The wine list is very diverse and approachable. The staff was extremely friendly and the owner was around and shared his excitement about relaunching the space. This is a great spot to go after work and can be a destination for dinner.
Has anyone else been there?

Tasty Burger

The veggie burger is vegan as well as the buns. Joy Richards, who runs the wine program, is vegan and has assured me that what I say is true. Fun for vegans!

Bacco's Wine and Cheese

Went to the grand opening of Bacco's Wine and Cheese last week. Its on St. James in the same building as Fire + Ice near the Park Plaza Hotel. Bob Bacco worked at Deluca for years and now has his own gig. The place is great and Bob and his staff are really knowledgeable. It's a one stop shop for wine, cheeses, meats, gifts, etc..Great addition to the neighborhood which really has nothing like it.
P.S. - I do not work at the store, just a fan and wanted to let people know about it.

Beehive tonight --help!

Very weak fruit plate at brunch. Great bloody mary and service.

Island Creek Oyster Bar taking over Great Bay Space

Went on Friday when they opened and it was fantastic! The space is very open and has a chic and comfortable vibe that makes you want to stick around for a while. The menu has some very cool items and things that will become staples that I will crave. The wine list has some really interesting choices that you can tell were well thought out and so reasonably priced. The staff was all very nice and excited to be there. These guys did a great job and I am ready to go back again.

inexpensive wine near Somerville, Massachusetts (or Cambridge)? [moved from Wine]

Spot next to Whole Foods Fresh Pond is Cambridge Wine and Spirits. Great prices and very helpful staff. PS...Yellowtail is not mid-level and you can find it anywhere and it will always be about the same price.

Dinner in North End

Love Carmen. Tresca is always good. And Monica's.

Any Whole Foods better?

Cambridge is right off of Storrow and Memorial Drive. They have parking and a great wine and beer selection.

Special birthday dinner but on dairy free diet

Elephant Walk has a gluten free menu as well as vegetarian. Also, PF Changs has lots of gluten free/dairy free options.

Back Bay/Near Fenway on crutches

The Other Side Cafe should be a one stop shop for what you are looking for and it is only a couple of blocks away at Mass Ave and Newbury St. Extension.

Going to L'Espalier for dinner this Sunday (what to order)...Where to go Monday lunch??

All of the sandwiches at The Parish Cafe on Boylston are yummy and they have a great patio and beer selection. I also second Coppa or Toro (same chef/owners)

Any Poutine In Boston?

Beehive brunch

Taberna de Haro - Great atmosphere, horrible food.

I have been several times and once was served a dish by the chef that wasn't on the menu an it was delicious. As for Estragon, I had terrible food there. They owners were once married and now they each have their own places. Seems the lady beat out the man. I recommend Teberna de Haro and wish they were open for brunch.

Post-Bar Burger

If you want some seriously sound sleep then go to the Bristol Lounge in Four Seasons Hotel...Hands down the best burger in Boston
Next best:
Toro - South End
KO Prime - Near the Common

Good Luck!!!

Daughter from Boston taking out Mom for her 60th in Pompano or Coconut Creek

I am coming in from Boston and taking my mom out for her 60th. It will just be she and I so we can sit at a bar. I really like food and wine and want to make her birthday special, and delicious! The area is so limited which is why I am asking for help. We can travel to Ft. Lauderdale if we must and I have seen some great recommendations for that area. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Recommend Some Loud, Interesting Kitchens

East Coast Grill for certain. And the food is slammin.

Woodward at the Ames

Went for lunch a couple weeks ago. Food wasn't that good and service was slow. Will give it another try after they get settled in...here is hoping they last that long.

Coppa

If you can, get there a little before they open. Went at 5:40 and the place was packed. Also, dress warm because if you sit next to the door, you will be cold. The food is off the hook outstanding and while I don't like to be cold, it was worth it to eat with my coat on. The ribs are a must have and the cauliflower pizza. There is something for everyone.

Oishii

Went to Oishii for the first time tonight and sat at the bar. Wasn't impressed with the service or the food. Servers had little knowledge of some of the menu items and it took way too long to get the attention of the bartender, who at one point coughed right into her hands. Although not the fault of the restaurant, a regular sat at the bar and was severely intoxicated. After trying to talk to me for 10 minutes, I hurriedly finished and payed my bill. I spent too much money for what I got and will not be going back. Lastly, the drunk women commented on a new restaurant and the bartender responded that she had been and listed the reasons she didn't like it...always use caution when talking bad about someone/somewhere as this town is VERY small...What are other people's experiences? I normally go to Uni and it is spot on every time.
