Thanks, Jen! We're really open to almost anything. (I know, that doesn't help narrow it down.) If the food is great, and the experience is great, we'll take it.

Everybody's generally on subways, but could probably cab it if that doesn't involve taking a second mortgage.

Planning a dinner for 10 people who would all choose a yummy hole-in-the-wall joint over a beautiful-but-bland upscale restaurant. The type of cuisine doesn't matter, as long as it's interesting and delicious.

The catch: has to take reservations, or be huge enough that we don't need them -- there are 10 of us.

We're mostly coming from Brooklyn, so Elmhurst is awkward to get to, but hit me with your BK and Queens favorites!

Thanks!

I'd take everyone out to Sunset Park, but that's for breakfast the next day...

Thanks!

Can I afford to eat in Park Slope / Prospect Heights?

Thanks for the advice, Mandy -- I'll be checking those out this week.

Can I afford to eat in Park Slope / Prospect Heights?

I'm moving from Manhattan to Flatbush Ave -- right on the PS/PH line. I've been searching and searching for good restaurants I can walk to, but everything I see recommended is in the $15 - $25 / entree range. Where are the good places at $10 - $15 a plate? (If I can't walk there, delivery is fine, too!)

Is eating in Brooklyn really this much more expensive than eating in Manhattan?

Please help!
