Rugnetta? Italian restaurant that was recommened to me, but I can't find it.
Yes I agree with the others, they are completely different. The restaurant is wonderfully consistent and their grilled fish specials are always extremely fresh and well prepared. The pastas are also always very good. However, it is a neighborhood italian restaurant and while it is charming and great food, it is not in the same style as Babbo.
Gordon Ramsay or Maze at The London?
Gordon Ramsay is the really formal one with the set tasting menu, i have not eaten there but have been to the casual place off the lobby that is all small plates three times. The first two times were extremely good but the last time was disappointing, I have noticed a big drop in quality, not sure why. Service is extremely attentive, almost frighteningly so.
Tasting Room - tables too tight?
I went there a few weeks ago on a Tuesday or Wednesday and it was not very tight at all since the place was half empty, if you are going on a weekday i don't think it would be a problem space wise, i personally think that while the food and atmosphere is pretty good, it is kind of overpriced and non memorable for what it is, the service is very good, though. If you are going on a busy night it can be awkward if you have a couple chatting loudly next to you, but i have been to more tightly packed restaurants downtown.
