Also, beginning about October 15th three of our pastas will be sold at Trader Joe’s under their Trader Giotto’s brand. They will be in the fresh section, not frozen, and you will be able to identify them by the bicycles on the front of the packaging and the Product of Italy indication on the front of the package. They are: Arugula & Parmigiano Reggiano Ravioli, Butternut Squash Triangoli, and Goat Cheese & Sundried Tomato Ravioli"

Thanks for the info on the store in Arlington - I'll give it a try. Actually, I did contact Bertagni - but it was over a year ago, and I never heard back. I'll try it again - just in case. I don't remember seeing the 'private label' section on the website - so maybe I'll contact them twice, once for Bertagni, once to see if they have any info on private label products in the US.

Paw-paws from Deep Creek Orchard in/near Kensington?

You can also get PawPaw's in Berryville, VA - it's almost WVA.

I was just there on Tuesday 9/7 and bought 5 PawPaw's, 2 large tomatoes, 3 small peaches - the total was around $20.00-$25.00. I'd call them first just to check to see if they have some in stock. When I got there, they had one on display and I had to ask them to bring some out - they're kept in the fridge since they're so fragile.

Where can I buy Bertagni pasta in the Northern Virginia / DC area?

When Bloom first opened, they sold Bertagni pastas - which are the B-E-S-T! And now, they've stopped selling Bertagni - for a couple of years now. I can't find Bertagni anywhere - Giant, Safeway, Bloom, Wegmans, Whole Foods - none of them carry it. I know I can order some from Amazon, but then you must order 15 packages of the same time - and I'd like a variety. If you know who sells Bertagni in Northern VA/DC - please, please, please let me know!!!

Where can I buy maple sugar?

I found a recipe for Maple Sugar Snickerdoodles on and wanted to make these for xmas. Naturally, as a procrastinator - it was only a few days before xmas so I couldn't order any maple sugar online. I searched high-n-low - harris teeter, whole foods, wegmans, etc., but to no avail. . . Then a co-worker - male - said, "what about a health food store." He found one and said "maybe they have some." It was funny, 'cause I asked him to make the call . . . and he did! What a nice guy - and he's straight - very out of the ordinary. ANYWAY, he found HEALTHWAY sold MAPLE SUGAR - I stopped on my way home - and voila! Yes, I made an extra batch for just him - since he was so dang helpful and considerate. FANTASTIC!
