I have a bag of Marco Polo it was 100 gm, now maybe 85. If anyone wants it, I'm happy to donate. I'm a big fan of MF Smoked Earl Gray, but IMO Marco Polo is a mistake. |

How things are made: near Rome Steve, I'm very interested in manufacture of food as well, and am traveling to Rome in June. If you find anything useful in your travels, I'd appreciate a heads up. My favorite experience thus far in similar pursuits, was a balsamic vinegar 'acetaia' in Modena - small, intensely interesting, and conducted in Italian with a lot of hand gestures. |

bumping this thread - may I ask if these are currently still correct and may I also ask for some more affordable options? Staying at the W Hotel Lakeshore, looking for ideas, usually happy to walk and/or take CTA. Also does Cafe des Architectes still do the Sunday to Tuesday bit - I don't see that or another prix fixe on their website (but maybe I didn't hunt it down yet). I think I can afford a yogurt from Fox and Obel for breakfast on days when I will have time for lunch - and something more on other days. Need some special bargains and ethnic spots for lunch/dinner. Also is there any agreement on where to get a good Chicago deep dish pizza? ----- |

The two stores in Vancouver with the best vinegar selections are: La Grotta Del Formaggio (Commercial and 2nd) and Parthenon (Broadway a few blocks west of McDonald). Les Amis has a good selection of higher end vinegars. ----- |
