trying to remember a pizza place

It was great to have them in Lexington, where I live. They held onto the upstairs of a Lex.Ctr. building for many years. When they left, the parade began until Kushboo settled in, and now it's Beijing.

They were truly unique in the world of pizza.

Prepared Foods (frozen?) in Framingham

Another style of prepared foods, Russian, is available at Baza, the Russian/International supermarket on Tower Street, just off Needham Street almost at 128 in Newton. The street is named for the huge communications tower, truly a "can't miss" landmark. (Just past the former Filene's.)

They are open on Sundays. At the far left wall they have a salad bar and a hot bar. En route, along the back wall, is the deli.

The salad bar has all sorts of prepared salads, not trays of grated carrots, etc. The hot bar varies from day to day, but can include duck legs, chicken breasts, various "cutlets" which are patties or balls made of vegetables or mushrooms or ground meats, lamb shanks, fish, etc. All of these will keep well for several days in the fridge. The hot dishes can be frozen.

Use the plastic tubs rather than the styrofoam boxes if you can.

Then you have to pass the baked goods to get to the cash registers!

It's a bit of a detour from Framingham, but you can't get this stuff anywhere else around here that I know of.

Oh please Arby's...

If you're coming out to the 'burbs, may I recommend Bedford House of Roast Beef at 328 Great Road. Three sizes of RB sandwich to choose from, and an excellent BBQ sauce, a.k.a. "sauce," if that's your taste.

H-Mart Burlington ?

Language is not a problem with the whole fish. They have an illustrated and numbered list of options for preparation, so you can make yourself understood.

H-Mart Burlington ?

I agree. I go to H-Mart with categories in mind, not specific items, and I buy what looks good that day.

Easy question: Any good *dinner* buffets in Boston area?

True. They still have a good lunch buffet.

Glad to be of service. Maybe there's a reason that the internet is forever!

Mughals' awesome buffet is lunch.

OP said Indian was out, but for future reference the Indian vegetarian restaurant across the street, behind the Auto Parts place, has a Wednesday evening buffet, different region each week - Ritu Ki Rasoi.

Seafood dump on the table in Boston

If you're looking for Chinese style seafood, a taste of "home," there's plenty of it in Boston Chinatown.

Lunch near Mt Auburn Cemetery

Word on this board is that the Cuban place, Gustazo, is about to close and move to Waltham. If they're still open, it's an excellent place, but call and make sure.

Noodles & Co opens in Burlington

I stumbled in there yesterday, and agree with the general lack of enthusiasm. On top of everything else, the traffic pattern in and out is very inconvenient.

Acitron in Arlington?

I'll agree on Acitron. Its main advantage is that it's not a chain restaurant: the atmosphere is quiet and everything is cooked to order, which justifies the slightly higher price, IMHO.

As for Tango: their main dishes from the grill are enormous. For two average-appetite people I would suggest one main dish and two or three appetizers and salads, which would also leave room for dessert.

Mr. Chan's in Burlington

OK for a quick lunch if you're in the neighborhood. Not a destination.

They have a good variety of noodle dishes in both lunch and dinner portions.

The reverse is also true. I have an online subscription and a few months ago they threw in the Sunday paper for no additional charge.

Ethnic brunch buffet on Sunday morning?

Too late for this year, but I recently had a good Mexican dinner at Acitron on Mass. Ave. in Arlington Center and saw their weekend brunch menu. Looks good on paper, but I haven't tasted it myself. Has anyone else?

Ain't nothin' but a ghee thing, baby!

My Indian friend would agree that US Indian restaurant cooking is unlike anything that most Indians of whatever region would eat at home.

Ain't nothin' but a ghee thing, baby!

My Indian friend who spent the fall semester at the Harvard K School opined that the only local Indian restaurant that came close to authentic was the Royal Bengal near MIT. I hope to get there myself sometime soon.

Ben's Kosher Deli from NYC coming to Boston

Be warned that Rubin's is strictly kosher and (thus) rather pricey. But they've got the goods at their deli counter, including chopped liver!
