French restaurants?

Been dining here for years. Great wine list. Nice cigar divan upstairs (out of the way of diners) for smokers.

12 for a 50th Birthday in May

Panevino has a great 'chef's table' for a group of 12 or so. It's well-positioned in the dining room with great sight lines. The bar is delightful for pre-meal gathering and the Italian menu is fantastic. I'm hosting a group there next month after a terrific meal with my wife recently. Strongly recommended.

Western restaurant in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year's Eve (Feb. 13)

We can't seem to find a prix fix dinner at a Western restaurant in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year's Eve. With Valentine's Day the next night, it seems reasonable to serve the same prix fix menu back-to-back. Our plan is to have a simple 2 or 3 course meal, followed by watching fireworks. We walked all over SoHo today without luck. Suggestions?

Old Vegas ambience off strip for older couple

Piero's for Italian (obviously) - the stone crab and the osso bucco is legendary. Start at the bar for a cocktail and proceed to your table gracefully. As scene in major motion pictures, but the kitchen is rock solid.

[Vietnam] Hoi An or Hue?

As much as I enjoyed the beach at Hoi An, I found the food wanting. Head to Saigon for Vietnamese food with a flair.
