Edmonton - Coffee shops with good food menus
I am now in need of a good coffee shop for late night study sessions. Two barriers present themselves. First, other than some chain coffee shops, I am having difficulty finding a cafe open past 10 pm even on the weekend. Secondly, some coffee shops offer little in terms of food beyond stale pasteries.
So, is there any coffee shops that are open late that also have provided good things to nibble on... even (gasp) a sandwich or salad or something!!
Perhaps there are some restaurants that are suitable for the student that are worth considering?
Thus far I have found that the Sugar Bowl off 109 Street is pretty good but I believe the kitchen closes by 10 pm.
Fish & Chips in Edmonton
Call me silly but for an informal meal, I always like Joey's Seafood for their fish and chips! As it is more of a casual dining dish... some of the other restaurants seem to fall flat and are really not offering a better product when it some to F&C. If you are looking for good seafood and fresh fish dishes... well then, then we are in a different league.
But, all that being said, I checked out the link posted by alau2 and I may be changing my venue for fried fish in the future!

I set out a while ago to find the best Cinnamon buns in Edmonton... this came after a strange and intense craving for cinnamon.
I even drove out to Sherwood Park to some bakery on Wye Road... but I am still searching.
Ultimately, I am seeking the bun of the yeast risen variety with strong and flavorful cinnamon. Not too sweet and no extra toppings needed.
Any suggestions?
