Sunny Place (Concord NH) for lunch? The portion is way too small. And it was not like that before. We visited the place few times last year. The portions was great. We always visited the store for Saturday lunch. Usually, they didn't have too many customers there (no more than 3~4 tables) around Saturday noon time. But when we visited the store again two weeks ago, we noticed that the portions became so so small. Also, the whole store was packed. The menu doesn't change often. Comparing last fall's menu and the menu we had two weeks ago, almost 80% are the same. Since they don't have too many menu items and there are some items we don't even bother to try, it's easily for us to experience almost all the menu items. Honetsly, the food is good but it's not that good that you would like to pay around $10-$12 for a dish and still feel starving after a meal. When they had great portion, we love to drive an hour to have a nice Saterday lunch there and always leave full and happily. But now, I think I would only visit the store after we had a big breakfast. I don't really enjoy my last visit when I had to order drive through Mcdonald's right after leaving the store. |

Where to buy japanese-style seasoned ikura online in U.S? I think this board is the best place to try to find the answer. I once bought ikura (in jar) from a japanese classmate before. That japanese lady told me she ordered it online(from U.S.) and the flavor was so great . Later I lost contact with that japanese lady and I tried to buy ikura from some online stores and thought they should be the same. I was totally wrong. The one that I got is un-seasoned and it's really bothersome that we have to use mirin and soy sauce to add the flavor every time. (and it always tasted not that right). I know that there are some nice japanese supermarkets in some cities that sell fresh ikura. Unfortunately that we don't have one here. So I really like to know where to find a good online store to buy the japanese-style seasoned ikura. |

Where to buy fresh whole native shrimp around Portsmouth NH? real time update. I called Seaport Fish, FreshRangeFish and also stopped by Hebert Brother's. They don't have "fresh" shrimps today. Some have them caught few days ago. But we found Portsmouth Lobster company has it today. $1.00/lb... and I got 7.7 pounds that costs me only $7 (I was planned to get more but then I found 7.7 pound is more than we can eat for a week). And it's time to do the after Christmas shopping now(to the Kittery malls..) |
