Pizza Suggestions between Las Colinas and Lewisville We are having a kids party this weekend, and we need to order pizza. Anywhere between Las Colinas and Lewisville will work. We will likely order a few cheese pizzas and a few margarita pizzas. |

Pumpkin Shaped Birthday Cake for Kids Birthday We are having a pumpkin themed birthday party, and are looking for a good bakery that can make that cake for us. Any suggestions will be appreciated. We are in the Las Colinas area and would prefer the bakery to be in the area, but will travel for good cake. |

Christmas Dinner Restaurant Suggestion My family is in town for Christmas, and we'll be going out for dinner. My husband is vegetarian, so where ever we go, it needs to accomodate vegetarians. We're looking for a casual setting, and I was orginally thinking of Cantina Laredo, but they are closed on Christmas day. There will also be a newborn baby with us, so the restaurant needs to be baby friendly (ie, not too crowded, and smoke-free). I thought Tex-Mex would be good, cause they usually have good veg options as well as options for the carnivores. We're in the Coppell/Las Colinas area, so something close by is preferred but not mandatory. Pricing would ideally be $25 per person. Any ideas? Thanks! |

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I finally found it. Central Market has the strawberry shortcake I'm looking for. I actually was referring to the layer cake with whip cream frosting and fresh strawberries. |

Best Dim Sum & Cantonese Food in DFW. yeah, I tried a good selection, cause I brought my parents and brother who were visiting from SF, and there was disappointment all around. We did bear in mind that we couldn't really compare food to SF, but it really didn't meet our standards. Canton Restaurant on the other hand was a place that my family liked. |

Best Dim Sum & Cantonese Food in DFW. Thanks Air. So you think there is a FCB in Carrollton? In which case, that's probably the place I went too that I didnt' care for :( |

Best Dim Sum & Cantonese Food in DFW. Thanks Twinwillow. I went to one that I thought had the same name on Beltline in Carrollton, and that place was bad. But your website didn't indicate a store there, so I've got my hopes up to try FCB in Richardson! |

Best Dim Sum & Cantonese Food in DFW. I'm from San Francisco, so I'm really picky about my dim sum & cantonese food. I know I can't get what I had there, here, but I'd love to here which restaurants come closest. I've been to Canton resturant in Richardson, and thought it was pretty good for dinner. I've also been to Kirin court for dim sum on the weekday, and thought it was ok. |

Meyer Lemons - where can I buy them in Dallas, TX? I saw them at Kroger's this weekend. |

[DFW]99 Ranch Market is Coming to Plano! This is great news. I just checked their website, but no word of when they are opening yet. Any idea when they will be opening? |

Hole-in-the-Wall Indian Restaurants I like Taj Chaat House in Irving http://www.yesandyesfoods.com/page11.html I also like Subzi Mandi in Irving or Richardson. Subzi Mandi is an Indian supermarket, but if you go to the back of the store, you'll see a little eatery, where the food is good and cheap. http://www.subzimandidallas.com/resta... (click on menu on the lower right corner )----- |

I've been craving Strawberry Shortcake, and haven't had one since I moved here 3 years ago. Any suggestions on where I can get some good strawberry shortcake. I'll even settle for any fresh fruit cakes that have a whipped cream topping. I'm in the Coppell / Valley Ranch area, but will go further out if needed. Thanks. |

Menu Ideas for Vegetarian Chinese New Year These are great. Thanks. It's just for me and my husband, so it's not going to be a for a big group. |

Menu Ideas for Vegetarian Chinese New Year Last year I made radish cake, nian gao and sticky rice. Any suggestion for items to add to my menu this year would be greatly appreciated? |

Ideas for a vegetarian valentines dinner? Thanks. I'll check out Izmir and compare with Samar! |

Ideas for a vegetarian valentines dinner? I'm actually hoping for Prix Fixe. Does anyone have recommendations for good restaurants offering Prix Fixe and I'll call them up to see if they would do a special vegetarian menu? |

Ideas for a vegetarian valentines dinner? We are thinking of going to Samar's for valentine's day, but I'm wondering if there are any other restaurant suggestions for us? |

We are vegetarian and are going to Vegas with another couple who are not vegetarians. Aside from an Indian Buffet, can we have suggestions for the best vegetarian friendly buffet on the strip. I heard the Wynn is good, and wanted to get other options too. Thanks. |

DFW Steakhouse Recommendations Actually, we are not joining the friends and family who are going to to steakhouses during their stay. So really the only requirements are: "primarily families with kids, so a romantic or expensive ambience is not needed" |

DFW Rehearsal Dinner Near Southlake Unfortunately, seafood is not an option. Dairy and eggs are ok, but no meat or seafood. |

DFW Rehearsal Dinner Near Southlake We are getting married at the end of August, and our rehearsal is in Southlake, so I'm trying to see, if I can find a place near it for dinner. About 40% of the guests are vegetarian, so I need to find a very vegetarian friendly place. Buca Di Beppo would be perfect, except for sentimental reasons, it's not an option. If I can't find anything local, I will most likely go with Maggiano's in Plano. But I thought I'd give it a try. |

DFW Steakhouse Recommendations I just moved to Dallas, and haven't had the chance to try any steaks yet. My finace is vegetarian, so there isn't a whole lot of opportunity for us to go to a steak house. we're getting married at the end of August, and we have alot of guests coming into town asking about good steak houses. Can you please share your recommendations on great steaks in Dallas (preferable closer to the Las Colinas area, but not mandatory)? Our guests are primarily families with kids, so a romantic or expensive ambience is not needed. Just good Texas Steaks. Thanks. |

Birthday Cake in Valley Ranch/Coppell Area It's my boyfriend's birthday tomorrow, and I haven't had a chance to buy him a cake yet. I don't want anything more than $25. I preferr whipped cream rather than butter cream, but that's not a "must". Last year I bought him an ice cream cake from Marble Slab and it was good, but I wanted to do something different this year. It's just for the two of us, so we need one of those small cakes. I was thinking about the cakes at the Kroger on Macarthur/635. They look nice, but I've never tried them? Any ideas? Thanks! |

[DFW] - Mr. Shabu Shabu - Plano Does anyone know if you get your own soup here, or is it a big pot in the middle of the table that everyone dips into? |

I'm in Irving, and moved here last year. I haven't tried First Chinese in Plano yet, but I'll crave cantonese often (I'm from San Francisco), and I go to Royal Chopsticks for my Chow Fun cravings. It's not part of their main menu. It's written on a small white board on the side. But they have the Regular Beef Chow Fun, and they also have the Black Bean Sauce Chow Fun. It's the closest Quality I could find for my cravings in Irving. |

Good Cantonese Food in DFW area? I moved from San Francisco last year and really miss good Cantonese food. I've tried Dim Sum at Kirin Court, and wasn't very impressed. I've had some Chow Fun at Royal Chopsticks, and that's the closest I've gotten to "ok" Cantonese food. I'm typically in the Irving or Plano area, but I welcome recommendations for the general DFW area. |

Fresh Roti in Irving or Plano Area? I work in Plano, but live in Irving, so I'm open to both locations. |

Fresh Roti in Irving or Plano Area? I have family visiting from India, and they have roti's every night for dinner. I've been buying them every 2 days from the nearest Indian Grocery ($4.29 for 8 roti's). They will be here for one month, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a better way to get fresh roti's for less money? (ie. Know of anyone who makes them and sells them from their house) |

DFW - Upscale Indian Restaurant I'd like to take my boyfriend to nice authentic Indian Restaurant for his birthday next week. Preferable South Indian, or at least a restaurant with good vegetarian options. I saw Saffron House and Clay Pit on citysearch today. As I was driving through Addison, I saw a new restaurant called Flavours. I'm debating between the three. Any preferences or additional suggestion would be great. Thanks! |
