Looking for any unturned stones in or near Gurnee

Also, I'm not a huge fan of Lovely Thai Restaurant on Washington in Grayslake. But I'm a bit of a Thai snob. People seem to like it, though, and it might be the best option in the Grayslake area if you don't want to go to Libertyville.

No one has wholeheartedly recommended Wayne's Pizza on Highway 45 in Grayslake yet, but you have to get their "Double Decker" pizza, so it's not for the thin-cruster. The Double Decker is some of the best pizza I've ever had in Chicago, and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

I tried "I love Sushi" once, also on 45 in Third Lake, and I thought it was very good, was surprised to find such a good sushi place up here.

I've also been to Bake's once and it was good, also on 45 in Grayslake. Only one person mentioned it, probably because the locals might be keeping it a secret. It's a dive bar, and totally down-to-earth.

Organic Ground Beef At Costco...

I buy this meat at Costco, but I mostly use it for making Zucchini Lasagne (zucchini instead of noodles), and it is great for that. I think it would be fine for tacos and chilis and those sort of dishes. For burgers, I have been using ground Lamb (add blue cheese or feta, and with a cucumber yogurt sauce) from Whole Foods and no other meat compares for burgers in my opinion.

Chow Tips videos

I LOVE the chow tips videos and I have found them to be very helpful. My four year old son loves to watch them and then remind me when I am doing something the "wrong" way in the kitchen. What a hoot!
