Thanks for all your responses! Your comments confirmed my fears of making this dish. Hopefully they will also help me convince my husband that a more traditional BBQ menu will turn out better.

Linguine and white clam sauce for a crowd.

My husband has requested that I make clam's spaghetti as he calls it, at our annual Labor Day BBQ. Any ideas on how to make this dish for approximately 20 people? I will be serving a whole filet Mignon for the meat eaters and we will have lots of different appetizers a large salad and probably another vegetable side. I am hoping Chowhounders can give me ideas on how many pounds of pasta I will need or any other tips?

Thanks I have always found John's Farms a little intimidating .....especially the parking lot...but I guess I will have to be brave for mi familia.

Dried Cherry Peppers

Does anyone know where to find dried cherry peppers (they are usually sold on a string) in the Eastern Nassau, Western Suffolk area? They are an important part of our Feast of the Seven Fishes Christmas Eve meal and I cant find them anywhere!
