Bar at Joe Beef w/o Reservations

I'll be taking a solo trip to Montreal on short notice in a week or so, and would like to eat a Joe Beef if at all possible. The restaurant is obviously booked up this close to the time, but I've seen some mentions of the bar on various boards. Do they seat walk-ins at the bar, or are those seats reservations-only as well? I've got a reservation at Liverpool House as a backup, but would cancel if I thought I had a good chance of getting in at Joe Beef.

Notting Hill Pubs - Reservations?

I am taking my first trip to London in May, and will be staying in the Notting Hill neighborhood. Looking into pubs in the area I've come across a couple of websites, for The Mall Tavern in particular, which have the option to make a reservation. Are reservations typically necessary, or should I have no trouble just stopping in?

Babbo vs. Del Posto

Will do. I think we're leaning Babbo right now.

Babbo vs. Del Posto

Bound to happen, I suppose. Give people two choices and there will be a few "neithers." At any rate, I appreciate the responses everyone, I think we've got enough information to make a call once we get closer to the time.

Babbo vs. Del Posto

We're open to either casual or formal, though it sounds like Del Posto is closer to what we're looking for. The ease of reservations sounds nice as well, but we're mostly looking for the better meal. Do you have a preference on food?

Babbo vs. Del Posto

My wife and I are visiting NYC in June and were thinking of going to Babbo, but some of the threads I've read on this board don't seem that impressed. Would Del Posto be a better option?

Best non-club places to drink?

Appreciate the advice all, we ended up at the Chandelier and had a great time. A couple of their specialty cocktails are best avoided, but the atmosphere is great.

Best non-club places to drink?

I'm heading to LV with my wife and three other couples for a weekend trip. None of us are night-club types, but we're definitely interested in finding a stylish place for a few cocktails that won't have excessive covers or wait times. I'm going to assume that almost any rooftop/view place will fall into the long line/expensive cover category, is that fair?

Where is the best red wine sangria in Vegas?

Julian Serrano in Aria, it's awesome. So good that you'll forget it's like $50/pitcher. I'm getting on a plane to Vegas tomorrow and will have the sangria within two hours of landing.

Lunch on Upper East Side near Museums

I'm looking for lunch recommendations for the Upper East Side near the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Expense isn't a major issue (within reason). Thoughts?

Football Weekend in Tallahassee - Suggestions?

Heading to Tallahassee this weekend for OU/FSU, and need some restaurant suggestions. Open to pretty much anything, I'll only have a couple of meals and want to make the most of them.

Going to D.C. - Blue Ridge?

My wife and I are looking for a good casual/upscale casual place in D.C. to take some friends. I made reservations at Blue Ridge, but since then I've been seing some negative reviews on the internet, criticizing its food (sometimes) and service (almost always). Should I be looking elsewhere?

Alinea - Tour Length?

My wife and I have reservations for Alinea in May, we chose the full tour when we made the reservation, and were wondering roughly what sort of time commitment the tour requires. We have a 9:30 reservation and an early flight the next morning, and some of the posts I've read have hinted that the Tour might be a 4-5 hour time commitment, which might change our plans.

Coming to Austin for New Year's Eve 2009, recommendations?

We're looking for a nice NYE dinner in Austin, somewhere in the neighborhood of $200/couple. We've made reservations at Perla's but are open to change.
