Looking for really spicy foods

OK well I have to try Jitlada. I will take the challenge and let you know how it goes. I live in La Verne so it would be nice to find something out this way too!

Looking for really spicy foods

I love spicy food but no one can make it hot enough for me. Maybe I'm a freak but I love the burn. I've been to Orochon Ramen and had their special #2......now that's the kind of heat I'm talking about!

Any suggestions?

Sushi in East SGV?

The sushi bar I have been going to has been slipping. I don't need anything ultra fancy just good fresh fish!

Best taco Tuesday in SGV

Just good taco's, they don't have to be cheap. A happy hour and a fun place to enjoy them would be cool, outdoors would be even better.

Best taco Tuesday in SGV

I love taco Tuesday, but I hate to drive. Looking for a fun place more local to me. (La Verne) Been to El Torito in West Covina, it was just OK.

Disappointed with the Beef French Dip Sandwich at Philippe or Am I Missing Something?

I was unimpressed with their beef dips. My biggest problem was the amount of beef they put on them....very little! I would get 2 but for that much I can pretty much go anywhere.

Food challenges

I'm looking for places that offer up food challenges. I've been to Orochon ramen for the spicy challenge #2 and El Tepeyac for the Manuel burrito.

Chef's Tables--do they exist anymore?

Not that I would recommend it, but all Buca Di Beppo's have them.

Best Fried Chicken

My fiancee wants some good fried chicken like she used to get back in Kansas when she was a kid. Where is your favorite?

looking for chili cook-off

I attended this cook off as well. I liked the one closest to the parking lot (killer chili) but I don't remember the booth number. The green chili was pretty good too. There were at least 2 competitors that added peanut butter, one of which was terrible. I had to dump chili from 2 booths. lol

Is Phillipe's worth it?

Good sandwich, but for 7 bucks they could put a little more meat on it. I could eat 2 with no problems whatsoever. Not worth it in my opinion. My first trip there was my last.

Looking for Italian beef

Portillo's looks great!!

I looked at their website and don't see them mention jardiniere or giardiniera , is that just a Chicago thing?

Best Berry Pie?

The berry pies at Knott's berry farm are good and and aren't too sweet. Personally I like Marie Callender's, but they are a bit on the sweet side.

French Quarter Oyster Crawl...this weekend!

Desire had the best oysters in my opinion. Their charbroiled oysters was the highlight of my trip!

Best Po' Boys - The Quarter

Desire oyster bar on Bourbon has excellent roast beef and gravy po-boys. I had 3 while I was there recently. The charbroiled oysters are to die for. It was the best food I had while I was there, great raw oysters too. Much better than Acme.

The Hat (Review + Pics) - Alhambra

That's so funny that you mention the Galley. I was there Sunday and had a chili burger (but all of their burgers come with chili) I was going to mention that place too, but I didn't want to throw too many other places into a post about The Hat. One thing that bothers me about the Galley though is how they almost DOUBLED there prices after that remodel. What a shame.

The Hat (Review + Pics) - Alhambra

I occasionally go to The Hat in Glendora. Their chili burgers are excellent. Similar to Tommy's but a lot bigger. I have a friend who visits from Chicago and the first thing he does is make a bee line to The Hat for a pastrami burger and an order of wet fries (slathered in gravy)
