Group dinner in Miami in March
You could try Sugarcane, Sra Martinez, Sustain in the Design District... maybe Asia de Cuba @ the Mondrian on South Beach, Zuma @ the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami
Sunday Brunch on South Beach
Van Dyke fits the bill but the food is very underwhelming.
Client dinner - reccomendations appreciated
Prime 112, call ahead and get the wine room table.
Turkey Dinner on Christmas Day in Fort Lauderdale area?
Market 17 has a fixed menu wth an option for Turkey... Nice restaurant and food is always great.
First time in Miami! Please Rate my Itinary
Looks like you have a good plan so far.
A few other places you could check out are Tudor House, Yard Bird, the Dining Room.
Joe's Stone Crab is a great spot, especially if you haven't been before...
On Christmas a lot of restaurants are closed -- pretty much all hotel restaurants remain open and some others here and there. You can get a brief idea of some places from OpenTable's list:
http://www.opentable.com/promo.aspx?m=17&ref=8782&pid=6
Personally I never liked Palme D'or much... its very expensive and an old / stuffy restaurant. Prime 112 and Joe's Stone Crab are both open Christmas if you wan't Steakhouse or Seafood options. The Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key has a good Christmas brunch I know as well... don't know what they have for dinner options though.
For Japanese you could try Zuma in the Epic hotel, food is always great there.
Looking for a fun place to eat on New Year's Eve in Miami
Prime 112 is a fun and happening spot... but expensive. I went there few years ago and it was like $250 a person, fixed style menu and each couple got a bottle of Cristal champagne. Not sure what they are planning to do this year though.
The Mandarin Oriental @ Brickell Key has a pretty nice celebration usually if you prefer a more upscale atmosphere than a wild party -- and if you want to avoid the chaos of South Beach on NYE.
Miami Christmas week - What are the must eats & Xmas day suggestions?
Yeah, you're right I think NYCfoodie1234 is just someone who works for Chodorow... funny they only recommend restaurants owned / operated by him and nothing else besides that.
Miami Christmas week - What are the must eats & Xmas day suggestions?
Some popular spots with good food are Tudor House, Barceloneta / Pubbelly / Pubbelly Sushi, Yard Bird, Sugarcane. On Christmas a lot of stuff is closed... some stuff I know thats open is Prime 112 (steakhouse), Joe's Stone Crab -- both are insanely busy on Christmas, most hotels are open and a few other random restaurants. The Mandarin Oriental on Brickell Key has an amazing Christmas Brunch every year if you want a nice spot on the water, I usually head there.
Miami Spice
Kane Steakhouse seems like a great deal.. Should be mentioned. The newcomer on the trendy steak scene in the old Tuscan and El Scorpion (shortly lived) spot. Normally their Filet alone runs more than the whole spice price and you get a salad or app, side and desert. I'm trying it.
Lunch Near Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art
Downtown library isn't very nice due to all the homeless that live / hangout there nowadays, they have one of the largEst population of homeless in Broward county according to the sun sentinel :/
Casa d' Angelo...Ft. Lauderdale comments re 'nice night out'
D'Angelo Fort Lauderdale is always great... been there lots of times over the years and its always great. Angelo Elia (the owner) is always there and the service and food is always top notch. They have the best Italian food around and the atmosphere is great... Its fancy-casual... some people dressed up and some people will be in t-shirts.

YOLO on Las Olas is a few blocks East and has a good atmosphere, good food and also outdoor dining (if you want that)... or if you prefer more casual spot you could try Rok Brgr which is a few blocks West on 2nd St... they have been open about 1month and have a great selection or burgers, apps, and some other comfort food style entrees.

diiner pre-Broward Center
Rok Brgr which is about 2 blocks away on 2nd Street has the best food around that area, its been open about 2 weeks now -- they have lots of burgers and you can also customize your own -- some other comfort food style items as entrees also. You can either sit inside or out, the inside is a bit nicer . But if you want something nicer you could try YOLO which is on Las Olas, its a bit more upscale and its a lively atmosphere, good food.

Fort Lauderdale for 1 night in March
There really isn't much near the airport thats any good, your best bet would probably be to take a cab over to Market 17 on 17th Street (right near the port) which is about 5 minutes form the Airport. They are feature local / organic food and an ever changing menu that changes daily (but always features a lot of seafood). If you don't want to spend that much maybe try 15th Street Fisheries or Bimini Boatyard, which are less expensive but also feature a lot of seafood items. 3030 Ocean is also good located at the Mariott but its about the same price as Market 17.

Casa d'Angelo (more upscale) or d'Angelo Pizza and Tapas (more casual) are both very good, they're owned by the same guy... food and service is always great.
More Miami restaurant closings
I'll bet that Nemo reopens as Prime Ocean, steaks and seafood... what more do ya need?

DineOut Fort Lauderdale Recs?
I would skip da Campo Osteria, Todd English basically just sold his name to them... and the service / food aren't great.

1 day in South Beach, need recommendations
For lunch maybe Blue Door Terrace @ the Delano, it overlooks the pool which is beautiful and a great scene.
For dinner you could try Prime 112 which is a fun spot, lively atmosphere, celebs, and great food. Joe's Stone Crab also has a good summer dinner menu now, its less fun but its still a great spot for dinner.
For lounges try the Wall Lounge @ the W, Florida Room @ the Delano, Plunge or Coco @ the Gansevoort... all are happening.

Johnny V's restaurant Smith and Jones in Ft Lauderdale shut
I never found Smith and Jones to be any good on various visits, but I hadn't been there in the past year or so...
According to the article the recent Chef from Smith and Jones is going to the Riverfront to a new high-end place called Suite 100... hope he realizes that he is totally setting himself up for failure. Riverfront is almost entirely empty, rundown, bankrupt, filled with thugs, etc, etc... if the restaurant is really going to be in the actual Riverfront complex, its unfortunately a certain failure.

Birthday Dinner Recomendations
Michy's is more the style of Michael's and Cafe Sharaku (if you're looking for that again) than either Nobu or Azul... Michy's is smaller, focus on seasonal ingredients from local farmers, etc. You could also try Sra Martinez (run by Michy's husband) which has a cool atmosphere and unique tapas style dishes.

I would vote for MaiTardi in the Design District... Food is good and very reasonably priced as is the wine list (you can get a bottle of Prosecco for about $25 or something), and the atmosphere is nice.
STK Miami
Here is a pretty good article which is a good description of it:
http://www.miaminewtimes.com/2010-04-22/restaurants/stk-miami-style-over-steak/
I've been there twice myself... food is alright but Prime 112 or BLT is much better. The music was good on the weekend but when I went during the week it was awful.
