Gluten Free Tasty Dining in Worcester for Saturday Night 4/21.

Anyone have any good suggestions. I am avoiding wheat and my BF is celiac. Any ideas are appreciated. We're going to a show at 7 and may eat pre or post. Thanks.

Seeking delicious yellow layer cake with superior chocolate frosting to feed about 40.

Thank you so much everyone! Lots of great suggestions. Going to try to do a bit of tasting before I order....I really appreciate it!

Seeking delicious yellow layer cake with superior chocolate frosting to feed about 40.

Oh. And I should mention I need to get it in the Somerville/Cambridge area! Thanks.

Seeking delicious yellow layer cake with superior chocolate frosting to feed about 40.

I'm looking for a simple and delicious classic yellow cake with quality chocolate frosting. No whipped cream. No sugar frosting. Like the Duncan Hines boxed cake -- only really tasty. Was going to order a cake from Flour but $100 is steep. People have recommended Lyndell's and Patsy's Pastry in Somerville. Thanks!

First date on Friday night?

Great job Nate! Cheers. All is always good at ESK and ICOB is my new fave. So.....how did it go? We all want to know! Ooh - did you have the mussels without the shells in the yellow curry? Mmm.

Any recent Stoddard's experiences?

First time to Stoddard's (shortly after opening) was very positive. Super knowledgeable front of the house. Craft cocktail craftsmanship. There were little mini vases of fresh flowers along the bar. Beyond pleasing to look at (the restaurant itself, don't recall my bartenders just now). There were short a lot of dishes that were listed on the menu - but they were just getting started... I get that. Second time was also tasty (the lobster scallion hush puppies were hot, flavorful, chock full of lobster and a great texture!), service was top notch to start at 5:10pm but as the people started coming our server was clearly a bit beside himself and we had to flag him over MANY times. Still no pots of pickles - I guess they were still marinating? Third time back the pots of pickles were ready! Um. That wasn't a pot. That was like a demitasse cup. Cukes and vinegar are not expensive - give us some more! Fourth time in - NOT a charm. Terribly disappointed. My cocktail was sub par. My DC's sub sub-par and those divine lobster hush puppies from a few weeks prior? Missing. We were given fat doughy balls with no lobster. What in the hell happened? I'll give it another shot as it is a good meeting spot for friends after work, it pleases my aesthetic, and I want to love it.

Hungry birthday girl seeks tasty carrot cake

Try Debra's Gourmet Naturals in West Concord. I didn't even know they made cakes, but they made a special one for my friend'd party and it was UNFRIGGINBELIEVABLE. I thought it was all wheat and sugar free, but there was wheat and they used some other alternative sweetener. I have no idea what it was and I am a PASTRY driven hound so I was deelightfully entranced by how delicious it was. Would buy myself an entire cake. Mmm. Happy birthday.

Where do I find good baba ganoush in the Somerville area?

Sevan. Try all their MEDs - Middle Eastern Delights!

unusual ice cream?

I too had the tarragon ice cream at Craigie and it was fantastic. Last year I had the DELIGHTFUL chance to have Christina's ROSE ice cream. I believe they only make it once a year for a week or so. Jump on it! Hmm...I should give a call and see when it may be available.

Looking for a good Breakfast spot near Medford!

Ball Square Cafe. No doubt. Super friendly. How do they get such amazing fresh fruit this time of year??

Best Mussels in Boston

Try the mussels at Highland Kitchen in Somerville. Done in a lemongrass lobster broth with coconut milk. Plump and meaty. Perfection. And really wonderful bread to sop up all the phenomenal sauce.

Friendly Toast in Kendall?

Hey there, Anyone know when the Friendly Toast is going to open? I hear I *must* try the Almond Joy pancakes. Thanks.

Where to Find a Good Tres Leches Cake?

Had a slice of tres leche heaven at Chez Henri a few weeks ago. Do it.

Best Vietnamese Summer Rolls? (pregnancy craving)

Oh! I could live on fresh rolls. Any season. Any time. I have tasted quite a few and you are in luck as I think some of THE best are at Tamarind House in Porter Square on Mass Ave. Always fresh. Lots of Thai basil and THE best peanut sauce. Be sure to ask for extra sauce. Enjoy.

Baraka cafe: still a really hidden gem

OH! I adore Baraka. On a hot night (or not so hot as I would like to drink some now) order a pitcher of the rose petal lemonade. And then you will order another one.

Where can I get a deelish salad for lunch - Beacon Hill area?

Hey All,
On the eternal quest for a damn good salad for lunch to balance out a beer and watch the game. Fresh, big, interesting, some protein, not too much bad dressing.
Been to The Hill, Harvard Gardens, The Kinsale, 21st, Emmets.
Anyone have any new ideas for me? Thanks.

Bacon Egg & Cheese-Please

Without a doubt - The Fil-A-Buster Deli directly behind the State House. Perfect. Cooked to order. Buttered english muffin. And the guys there are great. Enjoy.

Speaking of Ice Cream...

No Berkshire Ice Cream at One Beacon!

The rain was getting me down and I thought ice cream would bring me up. Sauntered on down to One Beacon and there is no One Beacon Cafe - just a Rebecca's. Asked a few people who worked in the ginormous building "Where is the Ice Cream?!" and they looked at me like I was a bit crazy. One guy told me Rebecca's *used* to be Sebastians so maybe that is the missing link. Will try Sebastians on Summer Street next week. For now this TollHouse cookie sandwich from 7-11 will have to cut it...
Also - Rancantore's kulfi ice cream is the best flavor on earth. Shop in Lex Center and another on the Belmont/Watertown line. Go today.

Chipolte in Davis?

Drove by the other day. Couldn't see if it was open yet. Anyone know anything?

Tasty Cold Sesame Noodles in Somerville/Cambridge?

I've had some fairly yummy ones at the Chinese restaurant next to Joe Sent Me on Mass Ave. (can't remember the name right now). Anyone have any good suggestions? I was debating trying the Yummy Hut as I just moved to that part of Somerville. Thanks.
