Black Hills dining

Any recent good experiences dining in the Black Hills? (Rapid City, Custer area, Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish and in between.) Any type of food.

Just returned from a business trip to Charlotte, and stumbled into a great little neighborhoody Thai place in Dilworth... cannot remember the name but it is about two blocks east of the intersection of North/South and East/West boulevards. It was fantastic and obviously a local favorite. Though the parking lot was not full, the restaurant was, leading me to believe lots of people had walked there.

I also ate at Ratcliffe on the Green at 435 S. Tryon. It's a farm-to-table restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed a plate of regionally made cheeses and delicious lamb chops with baby veggies-- again, all locally (or at least regionally) grown.

Worst menu translation ever?

In a Rapid City, SD Chinese restaurant: Spicy Human Beef.

Breakfast and dinner in Charlotte, Savannah and Charleston

I ate lunch at Mert's in downtown Charlotte about a month ago and it was great! Soul food/southern home cooking. Fried chicken was outstanding, and the collards top notch. They don't do weekday breakfast but they do weekend brunch.
