3 Steakhouse Choices Looking for Feedback

Another steakhouse in a similar price range and atmosphere is Joe's Stone Crab and Prime Steaks. I think that it is the best Steak in that range - the bone in filets are very good, and it is probably the most Consistent of the restaurants in that range. I also think that the sides are very good - they are very meat and potatoes, but the crispy hash browns and the onion strings are still very well done. It is not as much Old Vegas style - more like Old Chicago style, which I guess is pretty similar. I've eaten at all four, and like all four, but my favorite of them would be Joe's.

Lotus of Siam Help

I have made it a point to get something different every time I goto LOS, just because I am not normally very adventurous, and because I had the crisped rice/sour sausage app the first time I went and it convinced me to "try for different." I think that I may be Done trying "something different" - I just had the Khao Soi Braised Short Rib and it may be the best meal I have ever had. Oh. My. God. I know that this isn't revelatory - plenty of people have raved about it in a dozen different threads, but this was the first time that I had gotten around to it, and it is THAT GOOD. The perfect texture of crunchy and soaked noodles, the perfect creamy compliment to the tender short ribs, the Perfect combination of sweet curry and earthy beef and spice - it was So Hard to share this, and the next time I go back (probably this weekend) I'm going to get one all for myself. Seriously - Blown Away!

What are the best dishes at these restaurants?

For Hash House, I would STRONGLY recommend going to the Sahara location, not the IP location. There, I recommend either the Chicken and Waffles with Maple Basalmic/Scallion reduction, or the pounded pork sandwich.

Recs for a Great Italian place for April business dinner?

If you are willing to go Off Strip to Summerlin, Parma by Chef Marc is fantastic. I have always been overwhelmed by the personal attention by Chef Marc - I usually get the Ossa Bucco, but one time when they were out of it, he came out to the table, and we talked for about 10 minutes about what else that he could make that would be similar, and I ended up with some awesome pork shoulder. I love their Sunday sauce, I like the Italian Deli / coffee house vibe, and the food has always been top notch. I always bring friends from out of town here when we want to get away from the strip.

I've been to Nora's, Rosemary's, and Ferraro's, and Parma is just as good as they were, although entirely different - less formal, more rustic, Very personal.

FIX or Jalleo for party of 15 people. Looking for fun place and great food

If you are going to FIX, I really like their Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese - the grilled cheese portion is decent, but the Tomato Soup is Excellent. It is a more "Fun" appetizer - definitely comfort food - but for a large party, that may be what you want.

Great Seafood & Steak in Vegas for a B-Day Party?

Joe's Stone Crab and Steaks has both, although the seafood portion focuses most specifically on Stone Crabs - not that that is the only seafood that they have, just that that is what they are famous for. The steaks are excellent, and it is very good for meat and potatoes type people. It is not inexpensive, but it is also a bit under the highest end steak houses like Cut or Craft or Carnevino. It is at the Forum Shoppes at Caesar's

Lotus of Siam Help

I strongly echo the "Ask your server or the manager" comments - even if it isn't your first time. I goto LOS regularly, and Still constantly ask for suggestions and recommendations, and with such a large and intimidating menu, they can help you find the perfect meal for your tastes. I have Never been let down by one of their suggestions, and have Often found something that I would never have otherwise ordered.

I also want to echo the Nam Kai Tod and Mango with Sticky Rice suggestions, but call ahead to see if they have the mango dish, because sometimes they don't...

Rosemary's, Lotus of Siam - Off-Strip Adventures!

The coconut milk sorbet and sticky rice dessert does go very well when eaten together, but it goes to a whole nother level when they have the mangoes to go with it. I've eaten there dozens of times, and am partisan, but it is the best dessert I've ever had, and the times that they didn't have ripened mangoes just weren't complete.
