what to do with a big bunch of basil, not pesto!

I just made a batch of Basil Ice Cream that was really good! If you have basil, egg, salt, heavy cream, whole milk and sugar, and a blender and ice cream maker you have everything! is where I got the recipe.

PAN-FRIED FISH --help me improve the second time

Whenever I fry fish I always blend Italian breadcrumbs, panko, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parmesan and definitely a lot of Old Bay. Dust with flour, put in egg wash, coat with the mix.

Canned Tomatoes/ Spaghetti Sauce?

I hate that metallic taste of canned tomatoes. I know you can add sugar, etc to make it a little better, but is there a brand that has a really good non-metallic, full flavor? I am looking to make spaghetti sauce. I like the taste of jarred sauce, but want the wholesomeness of a prepared sauce. Any good spaghetti sauce recipes while I am thinking of it?

What are the best foods to buy at Costco? [Moved from General Topics Board]

I live with my boyfriend and we go to Costco to get non-perishable goods (TP, shampoo, dog food, etc) but when I get food it is usually:

1) Wholly Guacamole-freeze...the only good guacamole pre-packaged

2) Water

3) G2 Gatorade

3) Parmesean Bagels

4) Costco Trail Mix with MMs

5) Lindor Truffles( my boyfriend is ADDICTED)

6) Cara Cara Oranges-LOVE them so juicy

7) Gogurt

8) This good black forest ham

I find that if I get something like frozen taquitos, or a huge box of Honey Bunches-I get sick of it so easily (bc it is only two of us) that it is usually wasted. Now I buy things I eat almost everyday or that I can incorporate in a lot of different ways and if it is freezable.

Best Mexican in Richmond, VA?

This might have been posted before but what is everyone's take on Mexican down here? I am a loyal Mexico Restaurant (arboretum) fan, and have been one for over 10 years! They have great food and it does not try to be something it's not-just tastes good! I like their Pollo Fiesta or California Burrito, amazing cheese dip and Flan too! I also like Cafe Ole and have heard about this place La Milapa (sp)? Has anyone been there?

Best BBQ in Richmond, VA

Big Daddy's 9
Benny's 8
Q bbq 8

Buz and Ned's to me isn't that great. Love Bennys (esp. their bread pudding, yum!) But I really like Big Daddy's which is a tinnny place on Jahnke Rd. You can only pick up, you can't eat in, but everything there is sooo good and tender. I usually get the NCarolina BBQ (although they have great regular Q) and their corn fritters are amazing. Q BBQ is located near the Walmart/ Sams on Midlo near Midlo high school. They have really fresh BBQ, and I like the atmosphere and graphics of the whole place.
