I recently bought a vegetarian cookbook. Several recipes call for vegetarian sausage. I looked at the Whole Foods in Clarendon, but they do not stock it. Any suggestions? The author implied that vegetarian sausage would be easy to find.

Where can I buy fresh octopus in the DC area? Had griled octopus salad at RIS tonight, and it was really good!

I went to the Ardeo website and I could only find a dinner menu and a Sunday brunch menu. Are you sure it serves lunch on weekdays?

Well, I answered my own question. Cafe du Parc still has a Sunday buffet brunch with a slightly higher price. I strongly recommend it.

Yum! I can hardly wait for yet another fine dining spot to open in McLean.

I drove by there today, and there is a dumpster filled with trash presumably from Three Pigs. I also noticed that Three Pigs and McLean Tavern remain separated by a wall. Why is this such a hush-hush story?

So nobody knows what is in store for us at Three Pigs/McLean Tavern. Or I missing something?

Perhaps I am being too picky, but I was referring to the LT in Arlington.

We had brunch at Zaytinya recently and were blown away by the light and pillowy pita. Are there any retail bakeries that could come close to duplicating this pita? Lebanese Taverna, to name just one place, has heavy, tasteless pita.
