From the above list I've been to : Barberians, Ruth's Chris, Tom Jones, Carmans, House of Chan (horrible) and The Keg.
My pick: The Keg - consistently good food and great bang for your buck.

Definitely agree about Black Cat F&C. I was there around 2001 and I found it absolutely horrible. Looks like there has been no improvement since.

Drove by in October, 2009 and Woodgreen Fish n Chips has been replaced by a Japanese Restaurant.

Agreed completely. Golden Crisp serves excellent fish n chips. Was last there in May, 2009.
An amusing footnote on the bill is the description of the two taxes, instead of saying GST (Goods & Sales Tax) and PST (Provincial Sales Tax), it displays the first names of the current Prime Minister of Canada and Premier of Ontario. I've been going there for 20 years so the bill has variously read:
GST - Brian (Mulroney) Kim (Campbell) Jean (Chretien) Stephen (Harper)
PST - David (Peterson) Bob (Rae) Mike (Harris) Dalton (McGuinty)
I just love this form of subtle humour.

Woodgreen Fish n Chips is no longer in operation. Replaced by a Japanese sushi restaurant. Loved it in the mid 80s - a visit in 2003 was not enjoyable - it had slid downhill.
