The charcuterie plate is by far the best in boston also Jamies foie gras terrine is amazing. The wagyu tartare is so good served with a raw egg. There are many great cuts of meat that will not break the bank such as the skirt steak and the hangar steak.

Charlie Trotters 20th Anniversary Dinner Sunday Night

Anyone have any details on this culinary celebration of amazing chefs? I heard it is $5000 dollars a ticket.

Ivy last nite

I was there last week and I had what on the menu said yellow and red roasted beet salad with goat cheese. There were no yellow beets and they were not roasted either. They were of very poor quality. I am not sure if it was a shift change or what but I believe the manager was behind the bar pouring drinks and seemed very out of his element. This was my second attempt at The Ivy and not sure if I will be back for a third.

Anyone know a good restaurant in Downtown Crossing open for lunch and dinner? Nothing to expenisve but good food, wine list and cocktails? Something not too intimidating? Thank you

CODA- 4 Stars in The Weekly Dig?? [moved from Boston board]

No>>> I don't... I just happened to hear about the review from a friend who I was going to join there next week. I tend not to read restaurant reviews with the exception of Matt Schaefer. Improper and Stuff has decent food articles from time to time. I find a lot of the other stuff to be written by pontificators or people not entirely qualified.

CODA- 4 Stars in The Weekly Dig?? [moved from Boston board]

i was excited to try CODA... did i hear correctly that it just got 4 stars in the DIG?? pretty impressive for this kind of place. It seems the whole dining trend is going to that price point. Does it really deserve the 4 stars?? or does the DIG stand for Do It Grudgingly???
