Good mission style burrito in the East Bay? taqueria sinaloa's (22nd & international) salsa has chioptle peppers in their sauce. only one i've noticed in oaktown that does it. go for the beef (asada) taco grill (3340 E.14th st) uses niman ranch meats. their burritos has an unique flavor. the meat is gristle free. |

"Oakland at work: Wholesale produce at Jack London Square" sunrise is 6:30ish. not a shutterbug so wouldn't know when is good to take photos eats: |

"Oakland at work: Wholesale produce at Jack London Square" West Coast is the busiest /biggest of the produce vendors in JLS. especially for asian oriented produce. . service can be slow (up to 1/2 hours wait in the early morning). pricing is up to the salesperson. no prices are posted. informed buyers can get a better price. parking is terrible. one parks wherever possible (usually illegally), produce prices highest on mondays and decreases thru the rest of the week (unless market conditions dictate higher pricing-shortages) produce market usually close by 10 a.m.. |

pearl's was inconsistent. couldn't get a med. rare burger. came nearly well done. it's expensive for a family to eat at pearl's.. not so at red onions. scolari's has bested both of them. however, scolari's isn't family friendly. (no seating, seating is at bar next door). btw, my comments re red onion don't reflect my personal preference but the business model of pearl's and red onions. |

yes, seems to be popular, especially for families. |

i-Skewers in the Sunset [San Francisco] rough translation all titled hand pulled noodles 1-chow ma mein 2-szechwan flavor fish fillet noodle 3-tomato egg flower (scrambled?) noodle. |

I-Wonton On Irving [San Francisco] seems the naming of the eatery is just to distinguish themself from the crowd. nothing more. prices seem reasonable but quality is lacking. |

Lottie's Creamery in Walnut Creek tried lottie's a month ago, found flavors to be natural, minimalist, not sugared up, not a lot of flavor, fresh... maybe it was just my choice of samplings. neither pro nor na on lottie's. . |
