72 Hours in Charlotte: I Need Neighborhood Recs!!

here are a few ideas in Charlotte, close to downtown/uptown:
RiRas Irish Pub just re-opened on Tryon Street; Mert's Heart & Soul on College Street- you can walk to both of those from Aloft. In EpiCenter, Five Guys is great burgers if you haven't had elsewhere. Price's is great; Mac's Speed Shop is best BBQ in Charlotte, and great wings and beer, on South Blvd., Sullivan's steak house in South; Lulu Bistro on Central; Nikko Sushi also on South. Have fun!

Driving from Raleigh to Texarkana

I'm from Texarkana originally. If passing through there at mealtime, you have to stop at Bryce's Cafeteria on Summerhil Road at I-30, right on the interstate. One of the last, great original Southern cafeterias. Can get all sorts of food there - my favorite is the fried fish, and the mac and cheese. But there are lots of healthier options too. Or if you want a burger, hit TLC Burgers downtown - about 10 minutes off the interstate. In Little Rock and maybe another city you'll pass thru, try Doe's Eat Place for an excellent steak in a really bare-bones atmosphere. Great place. Good luck!

Chicken wings in Greenville, SC?

I'll be in Greenville for the long weekend and want to go try a good, local wing place. I'm familiar with the chains - Wind Wing Cafe, Buffalo Wild Wing and the like. Am looking for great wings at a potentially off-beat place. Have read about Chiefs, The Zone and TNT Hotwings - any info on those, or other places I haven't uncovered, would be most appreciated!
