Mandel's on Baldwin was the original but it closed in 1995 (the window is still there though). No relation to Mendel's. My mouth still waters every time I pass that window.

octopus galbi in t.o?
When I was in Korea I had an octopus/cabbage/rice cake/spicy sauce dish cooked at my table and eaten in lettuce/sesame leaves. Midway through the waiters came and added rice, making it into an octopus bibimbap. Does anyone know anywhere in Toronto that has this? I know Joon's does chicken but haven't manage to find octopus galbi.

Any good Somali food in Scarborough?
I know most of the Somali restaurants are located in the west end but I'm wondering if anyone can give me a good rec on a Somali restaurant in Scarborough or in the east/north?
