restaurant new farragut north/national geographic office for business lunch
I am meeting someone who is coming from a meeting at national geographic (1145 17th Street NW) for a business lunch. I am not really familiar with the area and am looking for suggestions of a good place to go. Cuisine doesn't really matter. I am looking for somewhere reasonably priced, with relatively quick service (I only have an hour), and that won't be so loud that we can't have a conversation.
Thanks for your suggestions!
Best Indian Restaurant in the Dupont area?
I am still looking for a great Indian restaurant near my home. Any suggestions?
"casual and energetic" restaurant in dupont?
I have to put together a dinner for a group of work colleagues (who are all men) on Tuesday night. They are meeting in the Dupont Circle area that day so I need to pick something withing walking distance of their meeting. My boss' only directives were to find a place that is "casual (but still appropriate for a work group) and energetic." Any ideas? Thanks!
Tuscan Kale
Hi. I am new to DC and need tuscan kale for a recipe. I tried Eastern Market and the Logan Circle and Clarendon Wholefoods with no luck. Does anyone know where I could find some?
restaurant in dupont circle for business dinner for 12 people?
I am organizing a dinner for some executives at my organization. We are meeting in the Dupont area during the day, so it makes sense to have the dinner there as well.
I am looking for some place not too expensive (maybe $12-$20 entrees) but with good food. Also, shouldn't be too loud (i.e. can't hear someone sitting a seat or two away) and be able to host a group of about 12-14 people.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!
Restaurant in DC not too crowded or noisy on a saturday evening that doesn't mind if you linger
I am new to the area and am going to dinner with an old friend this Saturday that I haven't seen in a while that is also not from the district and we are looking for restaurant ideas.
We have a lot to catch up on and will be having a marathon talking session so I am looking for a place in the district with good food that won't be too crowded or noisy on a Saturday evening. Also, very importantly, a place that won't mind us lingering for several hours over a meal.
Location in DC and type of food is open. We both eat anything as long as it is good.
Thanks for your suggestions.
Prepared meal delivery in Silver Spring
I think they live in the north part near Georgia Avenue and Wheaton.
Prepared meal delivery in Silver Spring
The wife of a work colleague of mine just had major surgery. Since she is in the hospital I wanted to send some kind of food to my colleague and his kids ( two boys ages 12 and 15) since they probably don't have a lot of time to cook or prepare meals right now. I would rather send something that's more like a meal than a gift basket. I would like to spend about $50-60.
The problem is I need it to get it delivered to his house in Silver Spring and I am having trouble finding anywhere that delivers on that small a scale. I tried Honey Baked Ham but they said they couldn't deliver and couldn't add a note to a purchase. Would Whole Foods or Balduccis do something like this? Any other thoughts?
Roasted heritage or free range turkey in the DC area
I usually make the turkey for Thanksgiving with my husband's family none of whom are cooks. However, due to last minute work travel I'm going to be away through Thursday afternoon which won't give me enough time to roast a big bird when I get back and get dinner on the table before midnight! Does anyone know a place I could get a roasted bird--either heritage or just organic, free range? Or should I just accept we'll have to have something else for Thanksgiving dinner this year?
