Cleveland's West Side Market
Great Lakes Brewery is right around the corner from McNulty's also. I think Great Lakes makes some world class beers and should be tried at the brewery if you have the chance.
Specialities of Cleveland?
Not sure how I forgot about Great Lakes. You're right, the food is kinda of blah, but the beers are world class. My all time favorite beer is their Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. Budgewick, do yourself a favor and have a beer or 3 at Great Lakes Brewery.
Specialities of Cleveland?
Nancy you just bummed me out. The wife was gonna take me there for my birthday next month. Well at least there are about another dozen or so great places to go to.
Specialities of Cleveland?
These are some pretty common recommendations for a tourist hitting Cleveland:
1) Sokolowski's University Inn - There are some who may disagree but I love this old school Polish cafeteria. Good pirogies, stuffed cabbage, salisbury steak etc. Open for lunch m-f and dinner fri, sat.
2) lunch at the West Side Market. This place is an old market that has some fantastic fresh butcher stalls, specialty stands, and a large(but only so-so) fresh fruit and vegetable areas. There is a great fresh bratwurst sandwich stand that I absolutely love. Plus the market is a great place to get a feel for the real Cleveland.
3) I'd a hit a Michael Symon place if I were visiting from out of town, just to say you did. The food is damn good at both Lola and Lolita. I prefer Lolita because the price point is lower and the atmosphere is more casual, but you can't go wrong at Lola if you feel like throwing out a few more bucks.
4) Crop Bistro is my favorite bang for the buck place in town. Creative, fun, quality food in a nice atmosphere. If you can sit at the chef's table and do the tour de crop, it's a blast. Price is about what you'd expect for higher end dining with most entrees in the $20's. You can also do the tour de crop at a regular table to.
Overall the is food scene in Cleveland is pretty good for a city our size. Tons of ethnic places and a bunch of chefs turning out great food in many great little restaurants. These were just places near downtown that I like. I do feel the West Side Market is a must see as a tourist. I hoped this helped.

Black cerignola olives at wholesale price? [Cleveland]
Have you tried Galluccis's italian market on Euclid Ave? They have a large assortment of olives at a decent cost. It might be worth checking out.
Eastside Cleveland Tacos Al Pastor?
MI Pueblo on Euclid near Case Western has tacos al pastor. So does the Mi Peublo on Lorain and w.123. The one on Lorain has more of a taqueria vibe to it then the one on Euclid plus there is a nifty little mexican grocery store next door.
Please Help - Best Restaurant.com Recommendations in Cleveland ??
We bought a gift certificate for Johnny's on Fulton from restaraunt.com and it was a great value. Johnny's is an old school place with some classic type dishes that are prepared extremely well. It's also pretty expensive and that gift certificate was a great deal. It seems it would be a good place for a couple celebrating their 50th.
Any can't miss/must have dining in Hollywood?

Any can't miss/must have dining in Hollywood?
The subject says it all. My wife is headed to Hollywood for a conference and would like to check out anything worthwhile in the local dining scene and at least one place that is more of a high end kind of place. I did a search of the board and didn't seem to come up with much help. Any help would be appreciated. She's staying at the Westin Diplomat on South Ocean Drive if there would be something a quick cab ride away from there. Thanks much.
Hollywood.....your recs please, especially fine dining and must tries.

Where are the best raw oysters in Baltimore?
Wow, quick response. Thanks much.
I went to their website it looks like exactly what we need . I'm looking forward to slurping a whole mess down. Plus with all the varieties they carry I'm sure I'll find a couple I've never had before. Thanks again.
Where are the best raw oysters in Baltimore?
I tried to find something wit hthe search function but couldn't seem to get what I was looking for. Here it goes....
What would be the definitive place to go in Baltimore where the wife and I could gorge ourselves on raw oysters? We'll be driving through on the holiday weekend and would like to stop at great oyster bar and indulge in a few dozen on the half shell.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thaks much.
