searching for family friendly in NYC

Hi everyone,

I'm from the UK and will be making my first trip to New York City at the start of April - we're staying at the Beacon Hotel in the Upper West Side. My husband and 16 month old daughter will be with me so I'm on the hunt for family friendly retaurants/delis where we can still eat great food.

Any recommendations or suggestions gratefully received!

Putting Egg Wash on Pies

Although ideally it would be done right before baking, I personally would and have egg washed in advance and chill. I have done this before and haven't have any problems... I have also egg washed pastry before freezing and cooked from frozen. It doesn't take long to egg wash though so it wouldn't take long if you decided to do it at the last minute. I'm always in favour of a last minute time saver!
